What a crazy ride!
The fist cab driver we had wanted to take us to Pattaya for 1.500 Thb (40€). A way of about 150 km. When we got close to the airport in Bangkok he got a call and was almost crying after he got off the phone. He told us that his friend gave him a call because his wife cut off her finger while killing a chicken. Seriously ? That moment was so crazy that we couldn't even believe it. He still took us to his friend so his friend could take us to Pattaya - so he did.
He was really nice and friendly and safely took us to the 'Siam View Residence' where they luckily still had a free room for us. We decided to stay for two nights for which we paid 2.000 Thb. We got a nice room on the third floor with a balcony and a gym and pool on the roof.

After getting settled in in the hotel we went out to have dinner and already found our favorite restaurant out here. You get typical Thai food for cheap. For the dinner we had we paid 120 Thb which is a little more than 2,50€. We still can't believe the prices here because it's so much different than in Germany. Though we should have gone to bed early for a change we still had a little swim in the pool with a stunning view over the roofs of Pattaya.

Today we got up, put our hiking shoes on, had breakfast at the little restaurant and started walking around in Pattaya after. We headed in the direction of the beach which was really crowded and full of kids, tourists and thais. I love all those little streets with all kinds of signs hanging up at the house walls. The traffic here in Thailand is crazy and we always forget to walk on the left side, but we better get used to that pretty soon.

Since we wanted to leave th hotel by tuesday I found a hostel on Airbnb which was not far away so we headed in the direction of that. On our way there we visited the mall and explored all kinds of markets and streets.
Luckily the hostel still had free apartments so we booked one from tuesday to thursday. The 'Nonze Hostel' is right across the street of the beach and is a really special place. We don't have any further plans for after our stay in the hostel, but we already got some options. We figured that a spontaneous choice is the best.

After taking pictures and walking down the 'Walking Street' at the end of the beach road we actually wanted to walk back to the hotel, but decided differently. From my friend I already heard about the 'Motorbike Taxis' and as we started walking back there were some on the side of the road and a lady started talking to us. She was really cute and funny so we decided to hop on and take the Motorbike Taxi back to our hotel. With three people on the Motorbike we started making our way through the traffic and had a lot of fun. What that looked like? Have a look at our gallery of Thailand!

Back at the hotel we hung out and I checked out the gym while Jules went to the pool. We really enjoy our stay here and are finally happy. We feel comfortable in this town - also called 'Pedoparadies' because of all the old men with their Thai ladies.

We can't wait to show you more and share all of these awesome memories with you!

Love,
Kathi
