Travel update: I am going to Thailand and Cambodia!!! Any travel tips for me??

in #travel6 years ago

Wiehoooo! I booked a flight to Bangkok. I am so relieved that I don’t have to go to Vietnam anymore. Not because of the country but purely because of the flight. Since I am visually impaired and therefore not able to read any of the signs in an airport, I need flight assistance to get me where I want to be. And with a flight to Vietnam I had to make at least 1 or 2 stops. I had this vision that I could already see my self sitting alone on an airport bench, crying my eyeballs out because I got lost or something haha.

Luckily for me, Thailand was back in the game and from the Netherlands, that is only one direct flight of 11 hours. So I booked it immediately.

My sister will already be in Thailand so she can pick me up from the airport after my flight assistant drops me off safely. After a few days of Bangkok we will take a night train to Cambodia. I already got my vaccinations and I bought most of the travel things I need. So there is only one question left….

Do you recommend certain places in Bangkok and Cambodia for me to visit?

I would love to hear it!!

p.s. Did  you hear about the pornographic dancers that were arrested in Cambodia? It was on the news in the Netherlands because among them there was a Dutch guy (who is now released but could have gotten two years of jail time). They were dancing too vulgar and in Cambodia it is illegal since it was seen as porn. The news showed some photos of  the ‘dancing’ people, they were laying on the ground in a missionary sex position (with their clothes on).  Some of you might know that I am a pole dancer (hobby/sport) but I sure as hell am not hanging in a pole in Cambodia! Hahaha.
