There are probably a LOT more to Belgium than Brussels, but these two cities deserve their fair share of attention!

We take you to two of the most beautiful towns in Belgium, Bruges and Ghent. Every alleyway, every street and corner that we walked on was picture perfect. I think this post will probably have the most photos than my previous postings. What's interesting about these cities is that they had rivers and canal ways all crisscrossing the town. It was very similar with Venice but that a different look and feel + not that many tourists! Bruges and Ghent is definitely the places you should visit besides Brussels. Without further ado, let's dive in into Bruges!!

오늘은 벨기에에서 유명한 2개의 도시에 대해서 소개합니다. 겐트와 브뤼헤!!라는 곳인데요, 이 두 곳은 너무 아름답고, 정말 벨기에를 방문하면 꼭 가셔야할 곳들입니다. 특이하게도, 이 도시들은 둘다 강들이 통과해서 배를 타고도 구경할수도 있다는 점입니다. 관광객들도 그리 많지 않았고, 정말 편안하게 구경하고 쉬면서 여행하기 좋았습니다!
Burges, Belgium
*As soon as we got off the train station, we walked towards the main streets of the city, and on our way was a beautiful park full of flowers and greens everywhere. And yes, I consider my fiance the queen flower in this photo. :D
기차를 내리고, 도시 중심가로 걸어가는 길에는 굉장히 많은 꽃들과 녹색빛이 나는 공원들이 많았습니다.
아래 사진속에도 꽃들이 너무너무 이쁘죠! 주인공도 저의 가장 중요한 꽃이십니다!!

*What we learned is that, Bruges was a waterway city with canals everywhere. And everywhere we looked was picture perfect with the greens, the buildings, and the skies.
브뤼헤는 사진을 막 찍어도 정말 다 하나같이 예술같았습니다. 강과 도시와 하늘, 그 조화는 정말 아름다웠습니다.
*Horses seemed to hold a special place within this city. Not only did we see horse-drawn carriages, but we also found a horse fountain as well. Does anyone know why horses are famous here? We asked, but no body seemed to know. Maybe because it was a famous trading city in the past?
브뤼헤는 말들이 유명한것 같았습니다. 여기저기 말들이 관광객들을 태우고 투어를 하고 있는 모습들을 자주 볼수 있었고, 심지어 말 분수대를 찾을수 있었습니다. 이 도시는 말들이 왜 유명한지 아시는분 계신가요? 현지인들에게 물어봤지만... 모른다고 하더라구요... 예전에 무역 도시여서 그랬던걸까요?

브뤼헤가 왜 아름다왔는지 함께 보시죠! 무슨 할리웃 세트장에 온 듯한 느낌이였습니다.
*We found this lovely house with an open back yard full of flowers. This city had flowers everywhere.
우연히 지나가다가 뒷마당이 공개된 집에 들어가니, 온통 꽃밭이였습니다. 이 도시는 정말로 꽃이 너무너무 많고 좋았습니다.
*After trekking around, we found a small little gem of a restaurant that served really nice soup near the main attraction of Burges. This place was authentic and felt like we were eating home food. Delicious!
여기저기 돌아다니다가, 스프로 유명한 가계를 찾고 맛있는 가정식 음식을 먹었습니다.
*The weather was perfect in every sense, and it was great day to drink Belgium beer.
날씨는 완벽했고, 맥주와 함께하기 딱 좋았습니다.
*After lunch, we headed out to the Grote Market, which was the main center of Bruges and all of its glory. This place is famous because of many different reasons, but I thought the stepped gables all lined up in one line was really cute and a great photo spot.
점심을 먹은 뒤에, 그롯 시장에 들어갔습니다. 이 곳이 브뤼헤 하면 가장 많이 떠오르는 곳이고, 여기저기 stepped gables이 있는 집들을 볼수가 있습니다.
*In this photo, you can see the magnificence of this place. Picture perfect.
이 광장은 정말 너무 아름다웠습니다.
*After running around and taking photos, we got lost again but were amazed at the scenery and the sights that this city was able to show us in every nook and cranny.
사진을 찍다가 다시 길을 잃었지만, 가는 곳마다 너무 아름다워서 사진 찍기 바빳습니다. 이 도시는 정말 아무곳에 가도 아름다움을 느낄수 있습니다.
Ghent, Belgium
So we headed back to trains and got off at Ghent to spend the afternoon here. This was another picture perfect city but has less nature and more of a gothic and darker look to it. It was amazing as well.
*Our first step and selfie in the city was the castle called Gravensteen. It was really old but now used as a museum, but we didn't get the chance to look inside because we were running out of time. (We spent too much time in Bruges...)
겐트
브뤼헤를 구경하고 겐트로 가는 기차를 타고 오후를 여기서 보냈습니다. 이 도시는 브뤼헤보다는 더 큰 도시였지만, 다소 좀 어둡고 웅장한 느낌이 더 강했습니다.
*첫 장소는 박물관으로 변환된 성이였습니다. Gravensteen이라는 성인데요, 들어가보고 싶었지만, 시간 관계상 사진만 찍고 패스하기로 했습니다.
*Ghent also had waterways and canal trips that people could ride on. As troopers, we walked instead. :D
*겐트도 브뤼헤와 같이 강과 canal들이 많았습니다. 저희는 안 타고 그냥 걸어다녔습니다. 걷기에 딱 괜찮은 도시입니다.

강가 주변에서 날씨와 분위기를 즐기는 사람들이 굉장히 많았습니다.

*This is the reason why we thought Ghent was a bit more citier, and darker place. Take a look.
이 사진들을 보면 왜 겐트가 좀더 웅장하고 어두운 느낌이 나는 도시인지를 알수 있을것 같습니다. 함께 보시죠.
*So to brighten things up, we had ice cream and selfie time to rest and cheer ourselves up. :P
계속 걸어서 지치기도 하고, 웅장함에 눌려서 아이스크림과 셀카를 찍으면서 쉬었습니다.
*We heard that there was a famous bbq rib house in Ghent and as food addicts, this was where we had our wonderful dinner. It's a place called "Amadeus" and it serves UNLIMITED RIBS... So we ate our heart out...
겐트의 하이라이트는 "Amadeus"라는 Rib집이였습니다. 이 곳은 무제한 고기를 제공함으로 고기를 사랑하시는 분들이라면 꼭 추천 드립니다.!
And I think that's pretty much it! (We went back to our hotel afterwards)

사진보니 브뤼헤에서 사먹었던 과일맥주가 생각나네요. 날라가버린 벨기에 사진을 @darin0925님 사진으로 그나마 그때의 추억을 떠올려요 ㅋㅋ
브뤼헤도 가셨다니! 다행이네요 ㅎ. 다음은 아마도 룩셈부르크가 될듯 싶네요...
저도 겐트의 아마데우스 무한리필 립집 가서 먹었어요!! 여기서 또 보니까 반갑네요ㅎㅎ 전 강으로 여행다녀올 수 있는 줄 모르고 기차 타고 하루에 브뤼헤랑 겐트 다녀오느냐고 엄청 힘들었었는데ㅎㅎ 그래도 브뤼헤랑 겐트가 전 브뤼셀보다 좋았어요 :)
여기 립집 너무 맛있었요. 아 도시 내에서 canal로 돌아다닐수 있는거에요. 실제로 강을 통해서 멀리 갈수 있는건 브뤼헤에서 바다까지 이어져있다고는 하는데... 안 해봐서 모르겠네요... 와주셔서 감사합니다!
