Swimming pools in Goa are a rare thing, this is not Turkey, where 2-3-4 swimming pools will not surprise anyone, this is India, here a swimming pool is a real luxury. If your hotel has a swimming pool, then it is automatically 3 or even 4 stars. Indian hotel stars are crafty, there are nuances with a discount on local flavor. This is neither good nor bad, this is the reality of life in India. Good news! There are swimming pools at both the Clarem Guest House and the Jose Menino Resort. Now comes the bad news. As in the joke about the fool, you can swim at the Clarem Guest House, and if the guests behave well, they might even pour you some water. There seems to be a swimming pool, but for reasons of economy or for some other hidden reasons, water was not poured here. The hotel description will not say this, it will say that there is a swimming pool and it is wonderful.
Well, but the safety is 146%. It is impossible to drown in such a pool!
Therefore, we will go to the pool on the territory of “CJM”. The two hotels have a common area; there are no fences from the checkpoint. And this is not Türkiye, no one will put bracelets on your arm. That’s why white tourists from one hotel can easily use the pool of another hotel. Well, maybe they will kick you out if you shout loudly (and in English) that you deceived everyone and came here from wonderful Clarem, and Jose Menino is shit. But cheap rum in local stores is not so strong. In general, “manyana” reigns here and no one cares. This is Goa! What's the hurry? It's warm and sunny outside.
The pool is located on the main street of the hotel, we enter immediately from the main entrance, go and end up at the pool, which will be on your left. In principle, you can go in for a swim, even if you are from another hotel. But in order not to get caught splashing around in wet swimsuits on the street, it is better not to go out with “CJM”, but to go through the courtyards and exit through the turntable at “Clarem”.
The pool has a shower and broken-down sun loungers without umbrellas. There were very few people here (in April), only once there was a full house, about 5 people, and it was even unusual and strange.
The pool consists of two parts: a shallow children's paddling pool in the shape of an octagon and the main pool with a depth difference.

Jetzt kommt die schlechte Nachricht. Wie im Witz über den Narren können Sie im Clarem Guest House schwimmen, und wenn sich die Gäste gut benehmen, gießen sie Ihnen vielleicht sogar etwas Wasser ein. Es scheint ein Schwimmbad zu geben, aber aus wirtschaftlichen Gründen oder aus anderen versteckten Gründen wurde hier kein Wasser gegossen. In der Hotelbeschreibung wird dies nicht erwähnt, sondern dass es einen Swimmingpool gibt und dieser wunderbar ist.
Nun ja, aber die Sicherheit beträgt 146 %. Es ist unmöglich, in einem solchen Pool zu ertrinken!
Deshalb werden wir zum Pool auf dem Gelände von „CJM“ gehen. Die beiden Hotels verfügen über einen Gemeinschaftsbereich, es gibt keine Zäune vom Kontrollpunkt aus. Und das ist nicht Türkiye, niemand wird dir Armbänder um den Arm legen. Deshalb können weiße Touristen eines Hotels problemlos den Pool eines anderen Hotels nutzen. Nun, vielleicht werfen sie dich raus, wenn du laut (und auf Englisch) schreist, dass du alle betrogen hast und von der wunderbaren Clarem hierher gekommen bist, und Jose Menino ist Scheiße. Aber billiger Rum in den örtlichen Geschäften ist nicht so stark. Im Allgemeinen herrscht hier „Manyana“ und niemand kümmert sich darum. Das ist Goa! Warum die Eile? Draußen ist es warm und sonnig.
Der Pool liegt an der Hauptstraße des Hotels, wir betreten ihn direkt durch den Haupteingang und landen am Pool, der sich auf der linken Seite befindet. Im Prinzip können Sie dort schwimmen gehen, auch wenn Sie es sind von einem anderen Hotel. Um aber nicht beim Planschen in nassen Badeanzügen auf der Straße erwischt zu werden, sollte man besser nicht mit „CJM“ ausgehen, sondern durch die Innenhöfe gehen und bei „Clarem“ über die Drehscheibe aussteigen.
Der Pool verfügt über eine Dusche und kaputte Sonnenliegen ohne Sonnenschirme. Es waren sehr wenige Leute hier (im April), nur einmal war das Haus voll, etwa 5 Leute, und es war sogar ungewöhnlich und seltsam.
Das Becken besteht aus zwei Teilen: einem flachen Kinderplanschbecken in Form eines Achtecks und dem Hauptbecken mit Tiefenunterschied.

Hahaha! A pool without water, thats a good one! And it looks like its empty for years already.
So its probably similar with other facilities, too. Like "room has air conditioning" - which worked in 1997 the last time. :)
Yes, this is one of the strangest and dirtiest pools I've ever seen. In India, a swimming pool is a rarity. Air conditioners are a different story...
I guess everything that is clean and working is a rarity in India... :)
