Neuschwanstein Castle

Neuschwanstein is probably one of the most popular castles in the world. Even Walt Disney used it as inspiration for his movie Sleeping Beauty. It is one of Europe's most visited tourist destinations and lies among the Bavarian Alps.

The castle was intended as a home for the king Ludwig II of Bavaria, until he died in 1886. It was open to the public shortly after his death. Since then, more than 61 million people have visited Neuschwanstein Castle.

Lübeck

The city of Lübeck is located in Schleswig-Holstein, the most northern state in Germany. It was founded in 1143. For centuries its one of the biggest Germany's Baltic Sea ports and also served as the capital of the Hanseatic League.

During WWII, Lübeck became the first German city to suffer substantial Royal Air Force bombing, but most of its architecture remains intact until this day.

Heidelberg

It's one of the most popular tourist destinations in Germany. The reason for this are the city's countless beautiful spots and buildings. The city's main center is packed with museums, pubs and art galleries.

You can also find many restaurants and markets selling typical German souvenirs like cuckoo clocks or beer steins. They've got a big castle that was built before 1214 as well.

München

Is best known for the Oktoberfest, but has so many more things to offer. It has a great cultural scene as the home of many fine opera houses and theaters.

The city center is filled with modern and classical architecture, as well as historic churches, royal palaces, medieval walls and shopping centers. And if you love the nightlife, the venue's in Munich won't disappoint either.

Berlin

Berlin is not only the capital city of Germany, it's also a federal state. It's a city rich with history culture and exciting nightlife. Berlin is widely associated with its WWII history and the Berlin Wall.
