Food saving

Back in 2013 on our journey by bike, we often ate fruits and herbs form nature but we also asked in stores and markets for second choice fruits and veggies. Stuff that would be thrown in the trash anyway, because of brown spots, squishes or simply because there is new, fresher food already arriving for the day..
We often could not carry everything we got. It was insane! We already had experiences with food saving from Berlin, Germany, where we worked together with Raphael Fellmer and his Foodsaving Team ( zu deutsch „Lebensmittel retten) We picked up ALL the food from supermarkets and then spread it to people that wanted to have it. Cities produce so much demand for nothing, it is a tragedy! It is a true tragedy… If you want to change just something about it, start gardening on your balcony, buy locally for less transport ways, organically for less chemicals on mother earth and share still good food that you don´t want anymore with others, neighbours, strangers or make compost, create soil for a garden, research permaculture, vertical gardening… :) Thank you anything you do to help greening up this life :)
