Banff Springs, Alberta, Canada wedding couple nature photos-astounding mountain views, wedding

in #travel6 years ago

I went to the "pre-wedding" party in Atlanta for those not traveling to the destination wedding. This is the actual wedding though in Canada. I couldn't give up the time at work to miss the time that I did in Atlanta, twice this summer and go to Alberta, Canada as well. Photos are posted online by the happy couple and were taken by BDKF Photography for credit naming purposes only (not promoting them).

The water is warm and it is snowing in Banff Springs. Can't say I've ever experienced that. This is a swimming pool, not a Jacuzzi. The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel is in the background.

The bride in the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. This looks to be quite a fancy place indoors and then we will get to the outdoor photos.

Awesome table setting for the smaller group that traveled there for the destination wedding.

Then of course we have multiple select mountain and water views that I selected to showcase of Lake Minnewanka and the Canadian Rockies.

Can the water be any more blue?

How about blue from up here, nice and high? And how can she walk on that terrain? You did see that she is wearing hiking boots in the 2nd photo right?

Still looking so great. All of this is Banff National Park.

You gotta love the fall colors and snow caps, and the ability for it to be warm enough to swim in a heated pool.

More views from the top.

Back to a couples shot....

I just love water that blue. I've only seen water personally myself that blue in Turks & Caicos but as you can see, there are other places on the planet that are still pretty pure looking.

My favorite shot, and it circles back around to the Lake Minnewaka water and Canadian Rocky Mountains view. Looks like I missed a good time and nice place to visit. Admittedly, I am not ready for snow yet this year, but given the beauty of this destination, in hindsight, I wish I could've found the time to go. Enjoy. Please feel free to comment and ask questions. I write back!

They are gorgeous views, the photographs are lovely :)

Like I said, wish I could've been to this one. It just wasn't in the cards. Instead, I was in boring old Atlanta where it was the same weather there as it was in Philly, 666 miles away. I really don't want to be bothering with snow yet. But it looks like views that you just don't see in very many places. I would have liked to have seen it with my own eyes. Now at least I know there is a worthwhile reason to go there, which is more than I knew when they were trying to get people to go, in the first place.

You really have top go, it looks amazing. We are starting to move into the cold season temperatures dropping not that we have anything as beautiful as as that view here in the UK.

Getting there would probably take as long as it would take for me to get to the UK from Philadelphia. That doesn't mean that I wouldn't go. I am just saying that it is not close to me. It really does look amazing. I regret not going.

There is the travel but seeing what's in store would be worth it. But then coming away from it would be hard.

Wow, what a fantastic place!

It really does look like a fantastic place. I've never seen anything quite like that in person myself.

Wow, awesome place! I'm getting married on the Como Lake next year and I hope my photos will be half as good as these =]

Como Lake looks cool. I googled it to see it was in Italy. The pictures of the mountains and water are similar, just without the snow. Congratulations to you and good luck. I really don't see how you would take "bad" pictures with that landscape available.

Yep, that's where George Clooney lives!

Thank you! I'll make sure to post some good pictures.   =]

Oh well - that makes perfect sense. Clooney is living the perfect life. Waited forever to get married, knows the royal family, women swoon over him. He's an established movie star and if he never worked again, people would still love him. Of course he would have a place somewhere so fancy looking. :)

Those shots are beautiful. I like blue water with a temperature between 75 and 85 degrees. But the blue water looks amazing regardless. Antigua, and Hawaii.....

Blue clear water is one of my favorite things. Green works too. Seeing fish swim around me in Cancun and other Caribbean islands was one of the coolest things I ever saw and was engaged with.

Those are some awesome pictures. Hope the newlyweds are happy

Yes, they are happy and I think they are due back home soon. Perhaps even today if I think about it. The pictures really did come out great. Thanks for having a look.

Amazing shots! I can't wait for winter, just wish we got some snow there.

I imagine you meant to say that you wish that you got some snow "here". I guess you live in an area where it doesn't snow. Trust me, being in a resort hotel where they can be snow and a heated pool would be cool. But when it snows around here in Philadelphia, PA, it is no picnic and I can honestly say that I hope I never have to see snow again on the ground I have to drive or walk on.

It is elegant photography, I love it and congratulations to a beautiful couple.

Thanks very much for having a look. The photography is done well. The colors are something I could probably never achieve with my own camera work.
