The most exposed ridge in the world, the magnificent North East Ridge of Everest that leads up to the summit. Each side the drop into the valley is over 11,000 feet and thankfully you can only see the drop in the morning while you are coming back down because we start our ascent to the summit in the night.
Practically entire route upto the summit from the last camp is on this ridge. It did get narrow and quite scary at times and this is where something that I truly love happens. Your awareness reaches its peak state because you are fully aware that one wrong step and you would be gone forever. Even your body will never be found.
With each step you are more conscious and thoughtless than you have ever been. You are 100% in that moment and you REALISE at an experiential level that past and future exists only in your mind.
