endlich in Vegas - lang ersehnt und nun Realität.
Vor 5 und vor 6 Jahren war ich das letzte Mal in Vegas und bisher war es immer ein Abenteuer für mich. Vegas ist ein ganz besonderer Pokertrip. Es ist die Stadt, die niemals schläft, mit unzähligen Pokerturnieren und Cashgame-Action 24h. Jeden Tag habe ich die Qual der Wahl welches Turnier ich spielen soll- ein absolutes Luxus Problem.
Außerdem spielen hier in Vegas besonders viele Amateure - von daher ist Vegas ein besonders profitables Pflaster. Diesmal bin ich nur 2,5 Wochen statt 7 Wochen hier, es bleibt also deutlich weniger Zeit Geld zu verdienen. Gleichzeitig möchte man ja auch ein wenig Urlaub machen. Ich habe bisher 2 Turniere gespielt, das 400$ Colossos, wo ich 600$ gecasht habe und leider gestern kurz vor Tag 2 im 600$ Golden Nugget Main Event rausgeflogen. Das ist immer das frustrierende beim Pokern - man kann 11h lang sein bestes Poker gespielt haben und am Ende kommt trotzdem nichts dabei rum und man hat sogar minus gemacht, aber damit muss man eben klar kommen als Pokerspieler.

finally in Vegas - long awaited and now reality.
The last time I was in Vegas was 5 and 6 years ago and it has always been an adventure for me. Vegas is a very special poker trip. It's the city that never sleeps, with countless poker tournaments and cash game action 24h. Every day i have the agony of choice which tournament I should play - an absolute luxury problem.
In addition, here in Vegas a lot of amateurs play - so Vegas is a pretty profitable place. This time I'm only staying for 2.5 weeks instead of 7 weeks, so it is much less time to earn money. At the same time one would like to do a little vacation too.
I've played 2 tournaments so far, the $400 Colossos, where I cashed for $600 and unfortunately busted the $600 Golden Nugget Main Event just before day 2 yesterday. That's always the frustrating thing about playing poker - you've been able to play your best poker for 11h and in the end you don't have anything and even ended in minus, but you have to just take it as a poker player.
Ich bin mit meinem Sohn, meiner Mutter und Nanny angereist. Mittlerweile haben wir einen ganz guten Rhythmus hier gefunden. Wir wachen um ca. 6 Uhr morgens auf, frühstücken von 7-8.30 Uhr, machen uns fertig und gehen gegen 9 an den Pool. Ich tausche den Pool jeden zweiten Tag gegen Sport. Dann fertig machen, Snacks einpacken und spätestens um 10.30 los, weil die Turniere um 11.00 Uhr beginnen. Dann spiel ich so lange wie es eben braucht, das längste war bisher bis um 1.00 Uhr morgens im Collossos (15h gespielt) um 2.00 Uhr im Bett gewesen und um 6.00 Uhr wieder aufgewacht. Man war ich da müde :D
Meine Nanny kümmert sich währenddessen um den Kleinen und meine Mutter spielt auch das ein oder andere Turnier.
I traveled with my son, mother and nanny. Meanwhile, we have found a very good rhythm here. We wake up at about 6 o'clock in the morning, have breakfast from 7-8.30 o'clock, get ready and go to the pool at 9. I trade the pool every other day for some sports. Then get ready, pack some snacks and leave at 10.30am at the latest because the tournaments start at 11.00am. Then I play as long as it takes, the longest so far was in the Collossos until 1:00am (15 hours played) went to bed at 2:00am and woke up at 6:00am again. I was soooo tired: D
Meanwhile, my nanny takes care of my son and my mother also plays a tournament here and there.
Für mich ist in Vegas absolute Disziplin angesagt.
Keine Party außer eine Geschäftliche. Kein Alkohol, gesunde Ernährung, Meditation und Sport. Anders schaffe ich den straffen Zeitplan nicht. Die Zeit ist knapp um überhaupt die enormen Unkosten reinzubekommen und ich kann mir keinen einzigen verstrichenen Tag leisten. Für mich ist dieser Vegas Trip Arbeit, aber ich liebe meine Arbeit und ich liebe es, dass ich hier vor dem Arbeiten an den Pool kann oder ins Fitness-Studio. Ich poker hier ohne Angst haben zu müssen, dass ich meinen Sohn zu irgendeiner Zeit von der Kita abholen muss. Ich steh weniger unter Druck, weil ich mich 100% auf meine Nanny verlassen kann. Schade dass ich mir diesen Luxus nicht immer leisten kann. 😂
Absolute discipline is a priority for me in Vegas.
No party except a business party. No alcohol, healthy eating, meditation and sports. Otherwise, I could not handle the tight schedule. The time is really short to get the huge expenses back and I can't afford to skip a single day. For me, this Vegas trip is work, but I love my work and I love being able to go to the pool or the gym before work while i am here. I can poker here without having to worry about having to pick up my son from the day care center at any time. I'm under less pressure because I can rely 100% on my nanny. Too bad that I can't always afford this luxury. 😂
Als nächstes steht das Mini-Main Event (1000$) sowie ein Satelite für das Main Event (10000$) sowie ein paar SitnGos auf dem Plan.

Schöner Beitrag. Ich kenne Las Vegas auch aber eher von der Party-Seite und die Messe ;-) In welchem Hotel bist/seid ihr den untergebracht ?
Wir sind im Palms Place und haben dort ein schönes Apartment über airbnb gemietet!
Ich War auch schon in Vegas. Da hatte ich aber leider keine Zeit zum pokern... 😞 Wäre schon ein Traum gewesen. Ich wünsche dir noch ganz viel Glück und und drücke die Däumchen👍
