Life on a saltwater cove off of Narragansett bay RI is a beautiful experience. Mornings are typically one of 2 scenarios, sunny or or foggy. Each has its charm and is gorgeous in its own right. Today was foggy as I woke up, so I decided to snap a photo for you guys!
You see that little boat on our neighbors dock? Our neighbor is a fisherman who specializes in shrimping and shellfishing! His most abundant catch is the Mantis Shrimp. I had never heard of this type of shrimp before and curious about it! Here's what I found as to its appearance! It's a beautiful creature!
He said he'd hook us up with some seafood one of these days! Just some of the perks of living on a cove!

That's an amazing shrimp! Did your fisherman say what it was used for? Maybe to put in a tank for looking at or for eating? It seems like he would get more money for it if he sold it for people to put in fish tanks!
