I travel the world Part 187: Ice Skating at Potsdamer Platz

in #travel7 years ago (edited)

My friend invited me to go Ice Skating at Potsdamer Platz

I walked through the Potsdamer Platz Mall and made a nice picture of the Christmas Illumination. I really like Christmas it is beautiful at Christmas time.

Potsdamer Platz Mall

I stopped here and wanted to try a Sausage but 3,50 Euro was way to expensive so I passed (after that we were going to have dinner)

There is a huge Christmas Tree next to the Casino

Stunning ! I rented some Skates and went on the ice with my friends

First time in a long time....

Skating is like bicycle riding, if you learn it once you will never forget how to do it. So it took me 2-3 rounds but after that I was able to go around without falling or having any problems. I haven't been on the ice for maybe 10 years but I did ok. My friend is a former ice-hockey player and he showed me some tricks how to go backwards etc. It was fun to do it again and I am looking forward to go skating next year again.

Are you a good ice-skater ???

Gorgeous. The most beautiful place I have been ice skating is Somerset House in London at Christmas. This would have been even more magical if I could actually ice skate.

I have been many times, I just end up landing on my derrière!
