Join in and clean those beaches up :)

Yesterday I did a beach clean up in Cahuita, Costa Rica. The normally beautiful beaches were flooded by the heavy rain there, which is apparently very unusual for this season. Playa Negro was full of debris from the land and ocean, with many pieces of plastic hidden inbetween the ripped branches and weeds.

I asked someone if he would like to help, but he said he does not feel like picking up trash. In my opinion cleaning the beaches is not merely picking up trash, what it really means is saving the ocean from plastic and other polluting materials! Remember, every piece of plastic you take from the beach could save a life of a fish, bird, turtle or other sea animal!

I hope with our joined effort we can make a change in the way people see things, and change our consumption (simple: buy less products with plastic!!) and the way we are treating our environment! No government or organisation will be able to solve this problem if not ALL of us start acting now.

For a better world! Much love to all of you <3

PS: This is the amount I colleted within 30 mins of my clean up:

Dear @lick-a-tree!

It is a pleasure to resteem your important post! 🏅

Recently after I have started to join steemit, I have posted about the same siutation, which was at the Canadian coast:

Isn´t it our responsibility!

I appreciate & love what you are doing!

Thanks for sharing your wonderful post with us!

your @mynaturebody 🌱

Thank you darling, mostly for your effort to try to make this world a better place, bit by bit :)

Great, great job!

We can be very proud to have you in the community! @cryptoheads

Thanks for your lovely post!

Resteemed!

I can only look up to you for doing this! <3
This summer I travelled to Bali and when I saw some plastic I just took it with to throw it in the garbage later, what was a really small effort for me. But if everyone would just do a little effort we could literally make the world a better place.

Have my upvote and gratitude for making the world a better place ☺️

Thanks @bonaventurehoste for your effort on Bali! With these actions we set an example for other people, and no matter how small the action, it might be enough to plant a seed into the peoples head :)
Keep it up!

Wow... You are environmental friendly.. Keep the good work going.... Weldone

¡Congrats! It's a great gift to care enough about nature to do those things. I believe every person can change the world so I'll always support those movements. Thank you for all the little animals you just saved.

Aw, thanks for your words!! Very appreciated!!!
