It's been exactly two years minus one day since I unexpectedly returned to UK due to Covid. It's been tough times for everyone but I think we are near to seeing the end of the tunnel. The start of the new beginning is no better demonstrated than by free travel around the world again. Free travel has a slightly differently meaning from pre COVID days but a drastic improvement from COVID days. After a few forms and a final test I finally made it on board to my first holiday in two years!!
This is going to be my home for the next two weeks, temporary nevertheless, but a luxury home that moves around the world offering exquisite food (yummy), things to do on board or just relaxing not doing anything. Plus it will take me away on holiday, any where is fine under the current situation
I just did a quick walk around to explore whats available on board and have to say am really impressed with the facilities. There's a whole bunch of restaurants and bars which all look so elegant, I'll have plenty of time to check them all out.
So far I've found the cinema, library, one of the infinity pools, the indoor pool and jacuzzi complete with live performance, and the gin distillery. Yep, it really distills gin on board! I mean, if I didn't tell you, you wouldn't know all this is onboard a cruise ship!
Oh! And I went to watch a live show! Its been years since that's possible, it's just so nice to inject some live into life.
And I've done all this even before leaving UK. Our departure has been delayed a bit because of the storm yesterday. Now we're still in dock, sadly no sunset view as it's still a bit gloomy. I think this view from the deck promenade is just as stunning to see me off later on.
I shall be off grid for a couple of weeks unless I find free WiFi somewhere to post updates. So please don't miss me as I don't think I shall have time to miss you all 💕
Wow! I’ll be temporarily living vicarious through you as I have always wanted to experience the fun of a cruise ship. It looks spectacular and has so many things for you to do. I hope you enjoy yourself lady. Yes, you won’t have time to miss or be concerned about us . Enjoy it all to the fullest. I’m so excited for you.

All the food is included unless you want to go for some fine dining or special restaurants, but the inclusion is very good already 😋

Cruise isn't normally my cup of tea due to the fact I'm restricted in where I can go, but at the moment I'm not to fussed to be honest.

I've never managed to take a sea cruise on such a ship, but I did manage to see one in Croatia, it was huge.
Thr new ones are getting bigger and bigger now. This one has 19 decks!

My dream vacation has always been to stay in such a luxury property, but there aren't many options here in my state. However, it looks that we are all prepared to be able to roam freely, indicating that this epidemic is ending now.

What cruise line is the ship from?
It's from P&O, the Iona just launched last year I think so all pretty new!!
I always wish to go on a trip in such a luxury home, unfortunately we don't have lot of options in India. But seems we are all getting ready to travel free, this pandemic has to be endemic.
Hopefully we'll all be out of the woods soon and can travel again.
The cruise market isn't as mature as Europe and US, but I'm sure with time to come there will be more availablity in the years to come and you'll be able to go on one! Just need Hive to get back up again. I just saw it's dropped these few days 😩

Wow this cruise ship is awesome! I love your selection of photos to show us the grandeur of this ship. It's really very inviting. I might suggest to my daughter to go on one. We've been harping on her to visit London, if that's the last thing she does in Europe lol. What better way to make the trip there. On board a cruise ship! I don't know how much these things cost but isn't it you pay once and it covers the meals and all the amenities like the pool and gym and cinemas?

Yes, all the food and board is included unless you want to go for the fine dining and thats extra. But the inclusive food is pretty good anyway. My sister does a lot of cruising and says about £60 per person per day is a very good rate. Sometimes you can get cheaper deals on some cruise ships that maybe a bit older, but are still very nice.

That ship is absolutely ridiculous. I hope you guys sail to some warmer seas so you can enjoy that infinity pool without having to wear a full wetsuit.

Never been on these cruise ship in my life. Would really like to try one now, after reading this.
They're becoming a lot more affordable now, but I think the European and US market are a lot more mature to enable this. Hopefully Asia will follow suit soon and keep the standards at the same time
