Travel Bucket List #13 Budapest

in #travel7 years ago

The Szechenyi Baths looks like a Baroque Palace from the outside, built in 1913, is one of the most visited attraction in Budapest. The famous bath house is one of the largest in Europe with medicinal natural hot spring waters feeding 18 pools, 10 saunas / steam cabins, several massage therapies, facial treatments and more.

The Neo-baroque palace was specifically built for hosting Szechenyi Baths; for many centuries Hungary has been the country of baths starting with the Roman settlers who built the first spa baths in the 16th century.

With the natural medicinal qualities in aqua therapies, these hot springs have deep beneficial effects and has been praised for its healing attributes by visitors across the world. With both indoor and outdoor baths to choose from you will be sure to find the perfect spot to relax with your family/loved ones.

Inside the palace there are 15 indoor pools along with a variety of saunas and steam rooms, each with a sign on the outside of the door indicating the temperature of the bath/room. If relaxing in the pools, saunas and steam rooms isn’t quite enough to ease your tensions, there are also massage services and other spa treatments that can be booked so you can be sure to find your fullest relaxation at the Szechenyi Baths.

With so many ways to relax at the Szechenyi Baths in Budapest, it is no wonder it is being recommended as a part of your Travel Bucket List.
