RE: El Nido. Palawan, Philippines. What a Trip!

in #travel6 years ago (edited)

Good morning, thats brilliant ! I promise not to 'grass you up' for betting against Manny !

Palawan was one of the most stunning places in the world Ive ever visited, back in 2007. Jaw dropping beauty.

In 2008, I was wandering around Mindanao and had landed in Bislig City, Mangagoy. Manny was fighting live and it was a sunday morning. That morning there was no one in church, it seemed the whole town was out, gathered around TVs on the street. The biggest crowds at the odd persons house who had a 42inch flatscreen out on the street! I can't remember who he was fighting but the atmosphere was incredible and the sense of pride of a home grown sportsman on the world stage had filled everyone with a sense of national pride...flags were out, the screaming and cheering could be heard in London and it was just one amazing memory to be a little part of it.......the details are a little sketchy as after that, the Tanduay came out ;-)
Best wishes as always to the pair of you :-)

Haha thank you, Nathen! By the way is your birth name, Nathan? Just guessing from y username. :) How are you?

That's good you were able to visit this Island. I hope to go back someday and maybe do more activities. Although there's so many places in the world I haven't visited and how I wish I will have enough time on Earth to see those beautiful places :)

It's normal here in the Philippines, it's like a holiday whenever Pacman has a fight ^_-

Thank you for the greetings, hope everything is well with you!
