Hola! me tomé el tren TAZARA (Tanzania- Zambia) para ir a Zanzibar. Mi experiencia no fue tan buena, pero ahora lo recuerdo como una aventura.
Hi there! I took the TAZARA train (Tanzania - Zambia) to go to Zanzibar. My experience wasn´t that good, but hey, now I have and adventure to tell.
2 noches, 3 días era el plan. Pero no! nos atrasamos 1 día.
El día 2, el tren se quedó tooooodooo el día sin agua! ¿podes creer?
2 nights, 3 days was the initial plan, but no! we were delayed 1 day.
In day Number 2, the train run out of water! not water all day! can you believe it?
Me tocó la litera de arriba, cerca del techo. ¡qué horror! no te puedo explicar la cantidad de cucarachas que vi salir y caminar por allí. Dormir se me hacia imposible.
I got the top bunk, near the ceiling. how awful! I can´t explain the amount of cockroaches that I saw come out and walk around. Sleeping for me was hard.
La atención del personal dejó mucho que desear.
The staff wasn´t friendly or helpful.
Ah! pero la vista maravillosa. La compañía también muy bien.
Ah! but the scenery was beautiful. Also the other travellers were nice.
En fin, es eso de aventurarse, de conocer, de vivir.

Hola @patagonica, me imagino lo de las cucarachas y me da pavor. Es lamentable tener que vivir experiencias tan desagradables en un viaje que era de placer y disfrute, pero cómo dices, los paisajes hermosos y la compañía valen la aventura.
