The Memorial Ceremony Hall at the End of the Spirit’s Road in Seo Oh Neng Tomb, Korea

in #travel5 years ago

There was a Memorial ceremony hall at the end of the road for the spirit.
This kind of building was very unique style in Korean traditional architecture.
So I took several photos from different direction.

Impressive thing was the stone steps and the patterns carved on the side of the steps.
This patterns was carved after the clouds.
It meant that the building was located on the cloud.
In my guess, the clouds on the side of the steps meant that this hall was built on that world.

I stood in the building and took the photos from inside to outside as below.
Maybe, the scenes I saw in the hall might be as same as the this world seen from that world.

@slowwalker,
The building at the top of clouds! It's amazing and it's amazing to see how they (ancestors) expressed their view to the future generations through these stone crafts on stone steps! Wonderful photography and article of your great visits towards Korea!

Cheers~

Wow this blog is all about the positioning of your camera and my goodness, the one located in the clouds is more than amazing, I love the block edifice with the carvings on it, and well it's amazing, so much history

Magnificent. Looks very old.

@slowwalker, These Memorial ceremony hall in Spirit’s Road in Seo Oh Neng Tomb pretty unique design indeed. It seemed Korean's big architecture. But looking very different thing than others for my vision.

Omg...you found another different way. I believe you find every changing designs from every locations. Without you found this feature I never find above. But I felt stone steps like Sri Lankan oldest temple's stone steps. If I'll share someday you'll definitely believe me. But can be different carved patterns or animals. However brilliant consideration with explained.

Beautiful architecture! It is so interesting to see all the different styles that are in Asia! We were in China in 2017 and saw some really cool styles there. What stands out about this are the steps. It is a pretty intersting idea to have the building ontop of the clouds! Thanks for sharing!

It's interesting how people back then add nature's inspiring to their work! Thanks for sharing!

Btw, thanks a lot for your support. I really appreciate. Have a great one always! ♥️

Great post

clear photos from various directions give us an idea of art and technology that combine beliefs and thoughts. How the predecessors built and took inspiration from learning the universe. If we look at cloud patterns, we can think and become reflections for us whether we who are on earth hope to penetrate the clouds and reach heaven? or on the contrary we who are in heaven through the clouds to pay attention to the people who are still on earth?
That's my point of view that might be a little different or there are similarities of opinion with you.
Any way, this post really enlightens us all
