When you are in the countryside, you can be assured that nature around you is pure and refreshing. Yeah! You can feel the same or touch this atmosphere if you visit my hometown, Phatthalung province, in the South of Thailand.
Although Phatthalung does not adjacent to the open sea, we have “Thale Noi” which is “one of the largest fresh lakes in Thailand”.
Thale means sea
Noi means small
Thale Noi in Thai means small sea in English.
If you can recognize this place from my old posts, it means that you are my old friends…. ^____^
Today, I just would like to update the beautiful nature around the Thale Noi for you. (photos from my sister's trip)
Actually, at Thale Noi, there are a lot of beautiful lotus and various kinds of water plants in a very large area and you can admire their beauties closely while sitting in a long-tailed boat. It looks like a wonderful floating lotus garden.
But at the time when my sister visited there, it’s not the season of the lotus blooming, so she can take a photo of the only gorgeous pink blooming one that she can find, as you will see below. ;D
Thailand is the land of agriculture. Most of our farmers used buffaloes for plowing in the rice fields in the old days before they are substituted by the plowing machine as in the present day.
From the following photos, you will see some buffaloes walking freeing in the shallow water among beautiful nature.
The white birds also make the scenery look more fascinating....
“Yor” is one of the equipments that our fishermen use for fishing in the past. It’s unfortunate that we seldom use them now.
It’s a good idea that there is a lot of “Yor” gathering at Thale Noi for traveling promotion purpose so you can take tons of beautiful photos.
These “Yor” are especially picturesque at the sunset. And the reflection of the golden color of sunlight on the water is really gorgeous.
Yeah! When the sun nearly touches the sea, you will enjoy watching this scene at Thale Noi, for sure. ;)

Yeah! You can rest assured that there is no shark as it's a large lake with fresh water, not a sea. An there is no crocodile, for sure. So, you can swim happily.... ;D
