Apart from the rituals that I told you in my previous post, I think, this temple can also give peace in people’s minds.
There are many paintings that teach us about Dharma; i.e. if you did good things, you will go to heaven after death, if you did bad things, you will go to hell after death, etc.
The paintings are beautiful in bright colors and they are all impressive. I think they describe the stories quite well;
Some paintings depict the ways of ancient Thai people life, it's a simple life among nice nature....
Some paintings depict the cruel ways we will be treated while we are in hell.... (These are our beliefs!)
Most people, including me, who saw these paintings may feel fear and will not want to make bad things in life, for sure.
In addition, when seeing the temple’s crematory which is the last place that our body can exist on earth, I can see the truth of life….; birth, old age, sickness, and death are normal things that we all have to face. It’s a circle of life. We may know our birth date, but no one knows the death date….
Therefore, we should live our life carefully.
Apart from giving merit to the monks, we also love to give merit to the Buddha statues.
These Buddha statues are magnificent....
After making merit, our mind keeps calm and we also get real happiness....
