YuLingLi is a touristy area of Shanghai with countless shops and restaurants in iconic Chinese architectural styles all outlined in neon for a great nightime effect.
The restaurant to the left of the frame features another iconic Chinese item, dumplings. Although there are a number of Chinese dumplings including pork and veggies, fish & veggies, chicken and veggies, green dumplings for Qing Ming Festival, Sichuan spicy dumplings with oil chili drizzled over them, and full veggie, the restaurant to the left features CRAB DUMPLINGS, they are "TO DIE FOR!"
Many people fail to understand how completely China shuts down during Chinese New Year, seriously, gas stations and grocery stores, convenience stores, malls, everything is down for a few days. Chinese wives make hundreds of dumplings and freeze them for the shut-down period.
