Hello my steemit friends! Welcome to the episode number 4 of "7 reasons why is Slovenia such a special country and a destination worth to visit!"
In the previous episodes you had the chance to find out about the first three reasons - the fabulous nature is one, the magnificient castles, mansions and fortresses are the second, and the magical vineyards, tasteful wine and excellent food are the third one. If you have missed it, you can follow the links at the bottom of the page. And now is the time to reveal you the fourth reason.
Reason number 4. – Beautiful Thermal Spas
Why thermal spas? Our country is very rich with springs of thermal water, which has a strong healing effect. These springs were known already 2000 years ago by the Romans who lived on our territory. The springs are approximately 1 km bellow the earth's surface (0,62 mi) and the water which comes out has from 35°C to 38°C (from 95°F to 100°F). This water has a healing effect for many different diseases and injuries due to rich composition of various minerals, like potassium, calcium, magnesium, sodium, iodine, iron, and many others. The surroundings of these thermal spas are beautiful and very peaceful, therefore they offer a real balm for the soul.
In Slovenia there are many different thermal spas, but the most known and appreciated are 14 of them, almost all of them (13) in the eastern part of the country. Each of them have a different water composition, that's why everyone is more suitable for healing different kind of diseases, however everyone is suitable for healing all kind of injuries and for the nervous system. This water helps to increase blood circulation, helps to reduce muscular tension, improves the imune system and stimulates the relaxation.
Spas are really suitable for everyone, because they offer also wellness and beauty services, massages, saunas, relaxation exercises and lots of fun and adventure in the themed pools.
These 14 Thermal spas are (in no particul order): Terme Čatež, Terme Šmarješke toplice, Terme Dolenjske toplice, Talaso Strunjan, Thermana Laško, Terme Olimia, Zdravilišče Rogaška, Terme Zreče, Terme Dobrna, Terme Topolšica, Terme Ptuj, Terme Lendava, Terme 3000 and Zdravilišče Radenci.
So when you will be in sLOVEnia and would like to go to thermal spas, just search for one from the list :)

i loves spa and hot water, seems its time to visit slovenia in future ) what about prices for full day?
it depends what kind of arrangement do you take, for how many nights and what kind of room, but all inclusive is mostly arround 80€-120€ per night per 2 persons.
That's cheap for Canadians. If you don't mind 1000 euro plane ticket per person, he,he. Nice post, like usually.
