These holiday pictures are too beautiful not to share! My 8th or 9th time in Colombia, but my first time in Cartagena - highly recommended ♥️
We began our trip by snorkeling off an Island, singing the blues of the Caribbean.
After frolicking in the water, where we saw marvelous creatures underwater and coral reef, we returned to the Island for a delicious lunch of fresh fish and coconut rice.
In the evening, we had the good fortune to explore the vibrant Old Town by horse carriage.
For those of you who may not know this South American country well, Colombia is much more than its drug wars; the same way my part of the world (Middle East) is far more than its terrorists.
Those few who do sabotage the good name of an entire people are the exception to the rule of generosity, rich culture and natural beauty.
Seeing/being is believing. The Colombian people are very warm/emotionally generous & with a great appetite for living 😃
Of course, one must pay attention, like everywhere else...
But, I've never been bothered and the great good outweighs any concerns. Such Beauty, here, and such... ambitious soil! The exquisite flowers and exotic fruits, alone, are worth the trip!
A highlight was visiting Medellin for their famous Flower Festival. Chances are if you've bought flowers, in the US, for any special occasion, they're from Medellin 🌹
Good to know and see the pictures of Columbia 👍 all we knew was just the Narcos in Netflix or few other movies 😶
