Hey there travelmaniacs! I'm back once again for another travel story adventure. Earlier, I shared to you about our family getaways in Palawan, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. This time, I’m going to share about our Campuestohan Highland Resort escapade!

My family and I at the Campuestohan Highland Resort

It was October of 2015, and my dad planned for us to have a Sunday getaway at the Campuestohan Highland Resort in Talisay City, Negros Occidental. Just like the old times, we are all excited to explore Campuestohan for the first time.

We got there by riding our car, which is the Toyota Innova. From Bacolod City to Campuestohan Highland Resort (depends on the vehicle's speed and uphill climb capability) it's approximately between 30 to 45 minutes. The resort is in a mountain area, so expect that it’s gonna be cold and an uphill road ahead.

As we arrived there, we’ve seen so many people enjoying their time with fellow families and friends. Anyways, here are some of the travel pictures I have with the fambam at the Campuestohan Highland Resort.

Look at the amazing view! I wonder how cold that swimming pool is!

Look at that obstacle rope course! A fun thing to do!

Horseback riding at its finest

As we enter the premises of Campuestohan Highland Resort, there are lots of amenities that you can choose. The entrance fee, however, is around 200 Philippine pesos or $4.00 that includes the use of the following facilities (from their official website):

1 - Swimming Pool

2 - Restaurant Pavilion

3 - Children's Playground

4 - Hanging Bridge

5 - Dino Park

6 - King Kong

7 - Coffee Shop

8 - Ice Cream Parlor

9 - Spa

10 - Photo Services

The only problem we have that time is that we forgot to bring our swimwear, because we have the intention of jumping in the swimming pool. However, we still enjoy together with the fambam.

What are you looking at boy?

Even my mom’s joinin’ the club!

My fambam with the “Indian Chief”

Welcome to the Indian Village guys!

Invading the camp!

Sitting with my beautiful siblings at the big bonfire area!

At the Cano Gwapo Lodge

At the rope bridge! Look at the sky bikers above!

The zipline tower

“Indian huts” where we can stay overnight

The roaring King Kong

We only have few pictures that time in our Campuestohan Highland Resort adventure using the Nikon DSLR camera. I remember that there are some familiar statue figures of superheroes like Iron Man, Hulk, etc.

Assuming you don't have a private car and choose to commute, there's a shuttle in the iMart at the Lopue's East Bacolod area. If you don't know how to get to iMart in Lopue's East area, you can ride a taxi or Grabcar. Alternatively, you can take a jeepney either Fortune Towne or Homesite, telling them you are going to Lopue's East where the Campuestohan Highland Resort shuttle is on standby.

The shuttle leaves every hour from 7:00 AM until 3:00 PM from Lopue's East to the Campuestohan Highland Resort and the rate is 60 Philippine peso ($1.20) per pax. However, from the resort back to Bacolod City, first trip is around 7:00 AM and last trip is 5:00 PM.

To give you the idea about the rates per ride, here are the following from their official website:

1 - Zipline (P200 or $4.00 per person)

2 - Rope course (P200 or $4.00 per person)

3 - Sky bicycle (P100 or $2.00 per person, one-way only)

4 - Horseback riding (P100 or $2.00 per person, 15 minutes allowance)

5 - Hamster wheel (P100 or $2.00 per person)

6 - Grand carousel (P30 or $0.6 per person)

7 - Mini train (P30 or $0.6 per person)

8 - Cable paraglide (P250 or $5.00 per person)

9 - Viking ride (P30 or $0.6 per person)

10 - Walking dinosaur (P30 or $0.6 per person)

11 - Basketball shootout (P35 or $0.7 per person)

If you are planning to reserve a room for overnight purposes, see to it that you should book at least one day in advance during weekdays, and at least 3 days advance for weekends.

Anyways, thank you so much for taking your time in reading my travel story with the fambam for today. I have to be honest with all of the TravelFeed and Steemitians here. If you have plans later on to visit the province of Negros Occidental, make sure not to miss checking out the Campuestohan Highland Resort in the mountain part of Talisay City. Trust me, it’s worth going there!
