Did you know the "oldest tree" in the world is around 5000 years old? Well now scientist think that the root structure on other trees are actually much older. The actual tree could be a lot younger than the root structure, and the roots can produce living clones of the original tree. Right now scientist think the oldest living "tree organism" is much older. Some estimate them to be 40,000 years old, and still some scientist think they could even be much older than this. Either way trees are some of the oldest forms of life on this planet and some of the biggest. The provide so much to the humans in the way of food, shelter, and oxygen. They also give us some of the best flowers, colors, and scenery you would ever hope to see. Some people say if you sit quietly with a tree and meditate that one may tap into this "tree consciousness" and feel as the tree feels, and be at peace with their natural surroundings. It is safe to say that trees offer humans many blessings and without trees humans probably would not exist. I would like to encourage everyone to plant at least one tree this year and dedicate it to the next generation, so that the youth of this world will no the importance of trees, and of all nature and of our environment, before its too late for this planet. Everyone wants clean air but we expect the government to implement the "clean air act" and magically save us, when it is up to us to plant the trees and take care of the planet, and teach the youth. It is not up to some bureaucrat in Washington sitting in an office to give you clean air, its all of our responsibility... Thank you for taking a minute for a little tree-talk
