But everyone is not 'free' are they Kenny? You cant even eat a steak if you need one! Stop making out you're a freedom lover. If I hadn't changed my diet we wouldn't be having this debate, that is the fundamental truth of the matter.
You also dont feel guilt because Im no longer part of the vegan cult lets have some honesty instead of politically correctly positioning yourself as the guy who 'cares'.
Everyone is exactly as free as they choose to be. Freedom is taking responsibility for one's actions and experiences. At least that is the way that I understand freedom, and what I mean when I use the word (as I've explained many times in my content on STEEM)
I can eat literally whatever I want, but there are tons of things that I choose not to because my body doesn't respond well to them, or they are downright poison (a la Monsanto products and such.)
It's kind of funny that you think all of this has to do with "militant veganism" or the "vegan cult"... What you don't know because you haven't read my content about my diet is that I'm not an "ethical vegan," I came to eat a whole food plant-based diet purely for health reasons, and purely because of the signals my body was giving me. I started cutting out processed foods and going organic, meat became once a week or so because it was so much more expensive eating organic/pasture-raised/chemical free, and as soon as it stopped being a part of my daily diet, I started feeling sick whenever I ate it. Dairy & eggs were never really a part of my diet because I just found them gross (again my body giving clear signals), so the change to plants was quite easy.
I never saw any vegan youtubers or documentaries (until years later), I never read any vegan books or blogs. I made my decisions purely based on my own body, its needs, and my personal experience. I've also never told anyone that they need to/have to go vegan, I've never shamed or even challenged anyone for not being vegan. The entire extent of my vegan activism consists of taking care of my body (being an example), cooking delicious vegan food (sharing my passion), and pointing out incorrect beliefs/assumptions about nutrition (using science and evidence).
I never said a single thing, in my video response or my response to this post, about your dietary choices. Period. When I mentioned feeling guilty above, I said "That alleviates the only bit of concern/guilt that I do always feel when someone has to come off the voter for any reason."
This is only true in the sense that you wouldn't have posted your mistruth-filled video if you hadn't changed your diet. If you had stuck to sharing only your personal experience I wouldn't have even responded to your video. If you had provided any evidence/sources for the many claims you made, I may or may not have made a response at all. If you had reply to my response with anything besides a down-vote and a disregarding comment, I probably would not have looked back through your STEEM history. Finally, if you had at any point over the last 6 months been interacting with the STEEM blockchain as more than a place to re-post YT videos, my issue would have been purely around your lack of willingness to have a conversation, and I certainly wouldn't have removed you from the auto-voter for that.
In YOUR opinion it was a 'mistruth' there you go again forcing opinions onto people and onto someone who LIVED the diet for 4 years!
Its such bs you sound like a politician skirting diplomatically around different so called issues with my account, even as you point out that if I hadn't of come out of the 'vegan closet' wouldn't have even been 'checked' like a schoolteacher!
I contributed for 2 years to your curation, maybe not in a huge way but I still valued it and felt really happy supporting something in line with my beliefs, as always in this reality you get let down and the whole thing is just based around more control and stamps down on anyone not spouting the official lines!
This is really is a terrible thing to do to a member who's only fault was they got sick and changed their diet. All the other stuff you mention is irrelevant because it wasn't an issue before this event.
