First Female Computer Programmer - Ada Lovelace

Ada Lovelace... she's the first woman in the world to combine computer and math. Lovelace, also known for her mathematical Intelligence, has become one of the symbols of Science Technology and engineering for women. Ada Lovelace day, which is celebrated every year in October, is an indication of how valuable it is. Born in London in 1815 on the British border, Lovelace is known as a child of Mathematics. It is known that when he was very young he went to a very advanced level in mathematics.

Ada lovelace who lost her father at the age of eight has never seen her father in her life. When he was 13, he calculated and flew a plane, including the conservation of momentum, and the family thought that he would come to a very important place in the future. When he was 17, he set his sights and started to take technology lessons with mathematics. She was doing such good work that he had to publish it. But in the 1830s, the distinction between men and women was felt in science as well. Ada lovelace has been the first woman to publish in a scientific journal, using a name to disguise the name and shorten the initials of their names. Ada lovelace which married Baron William king in 1835, committed itself to science and was unable to adapt to family life.

One of the turning points of his life begins when Charles Babbage, writing in French and designing a computer, translated his article into English and sent it to an English engineer.
After that, Lovelace, who had been seeing babbage for many years, developed the article and sent it to Babbage with notes attached to it. The notes he attached to the article mentioned how complex systems could be resolved. For this reason, he applied to Mathematics and talked about his relationship with his numbers. This was the first computer program in Computer History that could be applied to a concrete machine.

In 1979, the most important program developed by the United States defense industry was included in the list by giving the name “ADA” in its title in the language of the program. In October, the island celebrates lovelace day (around October 13) for women to tell them that they can do science and art in this world and even do their best when they do it.

1835 yılında Baron William King’le evlenmiş fakat Ada kendini aile hayatıne uyumlu edememiştir. İlerleyen zamanlarda 36 yaşında vefat etmiştir sebebi ise madde bağımlılığıdır. Hayatının önemli noktalarından biri Fransızca olarak sunulmuş olan Charles Babbage’nin makalesini İngilizceye çevirip bir İngiliz mühendise göndermesiyle başlamıştır. Lovelace makaleyi geliştirerek bu makaleye sakladığı notlar ile Babbage’e gönderir. Lovelace bu makaleye sakladığı küçük yazılar ile birlikte Babbage’e gönderir. Bu bir makinede kullanılacak olan ilk bilgisayar programıydı.
