St. Nicholas symbolizes the coming of Christmas and New Year. In Ukraine, traditionally this day is preparing cookies, which are called "mikolaychiki". In all families, children write letters to St. Nicholas, and they believe that on that day he hears all children's prayers.
All Ukrainian children are waiting for their breath to wait holidays and miracles. And they come to those who believe. On this day, even orphans receive at least a small amount of heat and love. St. Nicholas cares for everyone.
