Don't treadmill on me

in #updateyesterday

The treadmill i ordered finally arrived.

Took a bit to adjust the belt so it wouldn't go too far to the left/right, then I also added some oil to it and had it dry run to spread it out.

It is ready now! Placed under/in front of my table with the table pushed up.

However I'm not ready, and not for the usual reasons, I.e. laziness/excuses but this long flu has made certain things quite annoying lately. Even things I usually wouldn't have an issue doing for hours on end.

Aside from a sore throat and runny nose/especially in a laying position, I've also been getting headaches more often throughout the day which is quite annoying. Not sure if the advil is running into diminishing returns at this point.

This has meant no gaming, not much clauding and not much posting. I'm even writing this post on my phone very slowly.

I have however been hiving still here and there as I usually do. I find it a bit weird how we have so many people on here who do well on hive in different ways but hardly ever use hive. Don't you find that a bit weird? Maybe I'm the one who's weird.

I've been trying to get a bit more active on X and Reddit as well, if anything to try sneak in some hive promotions here and there.

Other than that I launched a proposal recently in order to assist some people with the costs of AI code subscriptions if they're showing signs of working on hive related projects. Only this time around I'm thinking of doing things a bit more transparent and open, maybe being active on hive helps keep this going better so I hope it'll help some people keep going and building things. I know it will help me/my projects which are currently quite under the water in terms of funding/debt.

Check out the proposal page if you wanna support it.

I'll be binge watching For All Mankind until I feel a bit better and less tired.

Here's a picture of Miu!

Sorry to hear you are still unwell. I would stop using Advil for now, as it is an NSAID and can affect your immune system. It blocks prostaglandins, which helps to reduce fever, swelling, and pain, but prostaglandins are also involved in the healing process. It can also affect cytokines (which are involved in mucus production), although I read some time ago that it may sometimes make symptoms worse. Maybe try paracetamol for now and try to support your immune system.

You know chicken soup is good when you have the flu. I usually boil a whole chicken, add ginger, some spices, and vegetables. It is very easy to make, just put everything in a pan, You need the nutrients from the bones too, so let it boil gently until soft. It can help with mucus, keep you hydrated and help boost your immune system. Get better soon!

And Miu is so cute and huggable. I like her name.

I'm not a big fan of soups but been trying to drink more hot things during this at least. and noted about advil, it ran out today anyway so switching to paracetamol for headaches! thx for the info!

You are welcome! :)

Glad to hear you’re still throwing in your weight for the things that matter to you, especially within your capacity. I hope you return fully to yourself soon!

For the people doing well on hive but are rarely here, perhaps, they’ve abandoned their accounts or prefer to come in sometimes to read posts and then head out? Whichever one, I wish they were more present too.

Have a lovely rest of your week, sire.

Get well soon. To be honest, I always enjoy simple life update posts because I find them very relatable...Miu looks very stylist and I loved his soft hoodie... You should have shared some more photographs of Miu in this post wearing the same outfit...😇 Sending love for Miu...

Oh man sorry to hear you are under the weather! 🤢

While I do like the small break an illness provides for me, I sure can’t say I enjoy it at all except for more Hive time.

I will check out the proposal and always appreciate your networking and marketing on conventional media for Hive! 👏

😀

Good job! I hope it will help you to get fit 💪

We love our treadmill. My wife uses it pretty much every day. I use it too, but not every day. I haven't had the breath stamina to really go to town on it ever since I had Covid a year or so ago.

Hope you get well soon. Let us know how the new treadmills works out when you are able to use it. Finally found the safety shutoff cord thingy for mine. The cat that it was a play thing and took it off.

Oh Jesus he's so furry! My cats are not like this, he's all to hug and kiss like a peluche

Headache could be the flu, take some rest and vitamin c like the granny says

Get better soon! did you get one of those workpad that lets you work while walking on a treadmill?

hmm nah will still use mouse and keyboard and just slow down the treadmill when I need to do anything I guess

Wish you fast recovery and even in such conditions I see you keep on going on multiple lanes.

Sorry to hear the flu is lingering. Hope you feel better soon. Miu is just vibing; at least someone is thriving in the house! Good luck with the treadmill when you get back to 100%, and the proposal to support hive builders sounds like a good initiative.

hope u are feeling better now. :)

Get well soon, make yourself some tea and rest

Lindo Miu, I hope you get better soon and can continue working on Hive fully. Rest and take care soon.

A flu shouldn´t take that long, something must be wrong with your immune system. I would e.g. try to get more fresh air, more and regular walkings outside and a change of eating habits, e.g. more red meat. Protein is way underestimated.

I agree, protein is way underestimated, it's absolutely needed for healing. I realised how effective meat protein is when I tried the carnivore diet. :)

Are you sure it's flu and not some form of allergy? Anyway, get well as being sick is not fun.

never been allergic to anything so that'd be surprising, guess let's see if it doesn't go away soon if I should go get a checkup

I've been to the pharmacy recently and was told, the older you get, the more chance for allergies to appear. Telling you what I heard. I only had one allergy, to penicillin, since O was a kid, but now I have another one, to an analgesic 😬

Instead of punishing the creators of content with AI, Hive Network should encourage it. This way, a network will support AI and attract more users.
