Mavrovo national park.
images_1526992072129.jpg
The largest of Macedonia’s national parks, Mavrovo boasts some of the best scenery in the country and is an ideal travel destination for nature lovers.
The Mavrovo Mountain peak is the highest in the region, thus the park is also a popular destination for climbers, and it operates as a winter ski resort too, bustling with snowy adventures.
Lake Mavrovo stretches out over an expanse of 10 kilometers and makes for some of the country’s best trout fishing, whilst also being a wonderful place to swim, sail and walk.

Visitors to the lake should be sure to take some time to marvel at the half-submerged Church of St Nicolas, once left completely underwater by floods in the 1950s before gradually re-emerging to form the mystical sight that it is today.
images(3)_1526992079200.jpg
Explorers should bring a tent and spend a few peaceful days enjoying the tranquility of the park’s lush expanse of forests, lake, and craggy mountains. For those who don’t want to rough it, the neighboring village of Mavrova offers a small selection of cozy hotels and restaurants.

😘 Thanks 😘

Hola @tatjanastan, gusto saludarte, cariños y besos.

Hello @tatjanastan, thanks for the initiative to invite us to know your beautiful country. As I am a man who lives on a coast. I am going to choose a tourist place in Macedonia that has to do with water. For this reason, I propose: Lake Ocrida or Lake Ohrid, is a lake in the southwest of the border between the Republic of Macedonia and Albania, which has an area of 358 km². It is the deepest lake in the Balkans, and also one of the oldest in the world. It is known for its transparent waters, sometimes transparent to a depth of 22 meters. Its name comes from the city of Ocrida, on the eastern shore of the lake. This city is the tourist capital of the Republic of Macedonia, and the lake, surrounded by several beaches and Byzantine monasteries, is one of the country's greatest attractions. On the other hand, it is also registered since 1979 as a World Heritage Site due to its exceptional natural character, and in 1980 the classification has also been extended to the historical and cultural riparian sites. Greetings.

Thank you...

Greetings, appreciated @tatjanastan.
Thanks to your challenge today I was able to expand my knowledge about your land, which I only knew by name.
So, by investigating, I was able to know that:

MACEDONIA:
The pearl of the Balkans - is the city of 365 churches.
It is a small and beautiful town located in the southeast of Europe, a unique interweaving of different cultures, peoples, languages and religions.

The large number of Byzantine monasteries and churches, on the one hand, and the Ottoman Turkish mosques, bazaars and baths, on the other, suggest that for a long time in Macedonia there is a coexistence between two great cultures and traditions: the Orthodox Christians and the Islamic .

I was fascinated by the Lake Ohrid (photo) is one of the tourist sites best known for its beauty and purity of water, its beautiful coves, but above all for its age and depth: it is one of the oldest in the world and the deepest d 'Europe (290 m). In these waters lives the famous Ohrid trout "ohridska pastrmka", a delicacy on the table, but protected because it is endemic. Ohrid is a treasure of UNESCO.

Thank you...

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL AND TOURISTIC PLACE IN MY COUNTRY,COXBAZAR.

It is a city, fishing port, tourism centre and district headquarters in Bangladesh. The beach in Cox's Bazar is sandy and has a gentle slope; with an unbroken length of 120 km (75 mi), it is the longest natural sea beach in the world.[2][3][4] It is located 150 km (93 mi) south of the industrial port of Chittagong. Cox's Bazar is also known by the name Panowa, which Translates literally as "yellow flower." Another old name was "Palongkee".

The modern Cox's Bazar derives its name from Captain Hiram Cox, an officer of the British East India Company. Cox was appointed Superintendent of Palongkee outpost after Warren Hastings became Governor of Bengal. He embarked upon the task of rehabilitation and settlement of the Arakanese refugees in the area.[5] Captain Cox died in 1799 before he could finish his work. To commemorate his role in rehabilitation work, a market was established and named Cox's Bazar after him. Unlike many locations in the Indian Subcontinent where place names dating from the colonial period have been changed, Cox's name is still retained in the city he founded.

Today, Cox's Bazar is one of the most visited tourist destinations in Bangladesh, although not a major international tourist destination. In 2013, the Bangladesh Government formed the Tourist Police unit to protect local and foreign tourists better, as well as to look after the nature and wildlife in the tourist spots of Cox's Bazar.

Cox's Bazar Town was constituted in 1869, eventually becoming a B-grade municipality in 1989. Located along the Bay of Bengal in South Eastern Bangladesh, Cox's Bazar Town is a health resort. But it is famous mostly for its long natural sandy beach. The municipality covers an area of 6.85 km2 (2.64 sq mi) with 27 mahallas and 9 wards and has a population of 51,918.[8] Cox's Bazar is connected by road and air with Chittagong

After Bangladesh's independence, Cox's Bazar started to receive administrative attention. In 1972 the town committee of Cox's Bazar was turned into a municipality. In 1975, The Government of Bangladesh established a pilot plant at Kalatali.[11] Later, in 1984 Cox's Bazar subdivision was promoted to a district, and five years later (in 1989) the Cox's Bazar municipality was elevated to B-grade.[10] In 1994 (jobs) the Marine Fisheries and Technology Station (MFTS) was established at Cox's Bazar. MFTS is a research station of Bangladesh Fisheries Research Institute (BFRI) headquartered in Mymensingh. The station covers a land area of four hectares and contains five laboratories.[12] In April 2007 Bangladesh got connected to the submarine cable network as a member of the SEA-ME-WE-4 Consortium, as Cox's Bazar was selected as the landing station of the submarine cable.[13] In September 2012 the municipality was the site of the Cox's Bazar and Ramu riots, where local Muslims attacked the Buddhist community over an alleged Quran desecration posted to Facebook.
