Hi Good day to us my fellow steemians, how's your day? This day I just wanna share you guys about the Filipino values. I hope you have these one of the values.
These are good traits that are common to Filipino families. These traits help them to have a strong family ties and become better person. These are called FILIPINO VALUES.
TRAITS- these are the attitudes of a person
VALUES- a things that have importance to you
HERE ARE SOME FILIPINO VALUES:
•Being Respectful
Filipinos respect one another by being courteous and polite. Being respectful also can can maintain your family peaceful. We use polite expressions in greeting and asking favors.
We use "po" and "opo" in speaking to the elders. We also use "paki" in asking favors. We call our elder brother "kuya" and elder sister "ate" and to our grandparents "lola" and "lolo".
•Being helpful
We, as members of Filipino families, help one another when we work in the house. The families in the neighborhood also help each other in times of need. We do not ask payment when we help. This is called BAYANIHAN. Joining of our community projects is another example of bayanihan. We can cooperate and participate in making our surroundings clean and green to maintain our community safe.
•Being Friendly
Filipinos have lots of friends. Being cheerful and hospitable help us to gain more friends. Our friends can be our family, neighbors, schoolmates, playmates and other people we meet.
•Being Faithful to God
Filipinos have faith to God. We have different ways of adoring and loving God. Most of us go to church. Others attend services connected to their religions or beliefs.
These are families who regularly go to church and pray before meals.
