Following on from Yesterdayโs video speculating about if Google is running out of space, I had been putting some thought into what Google may do if they lost their Section 230 protection in the US.
I think they may start charging for many of their currently โfreeโ services. One of such services is YouTube, including the privilege of uploading content to their platform. So apart from charging people to view the content, they may chose to introduce a tiered system to โhostโ for files on their platform.
I even did the classic click-bait thumbnail with the facial expression, LOL. Iโm learning.

Thanks for creating this! YouTube and the rest certainly have created a ton of value. But maybe it is time for them to give way to the decentralized alternatives.
It's a new paradigm for sure.
