Meet Mae. She is part Yellow Lab part Vizsla which means she is a very fast dog. She is also a great dog. She prefers being outside and does not require a kennel or dog run or even fences. None of those things could contain her anyway. When my brother babysat her she just chewed through his chain link fully enclosed kennel just to lay right outside of it on the grass. I have seen her jump an 8 foot wall and climb fences.
Mae is beautiful and she has been stolen 2 times. The first time she went missing she was gone for 6 weeks. She escaped her dog-napper and when they went to the humane society to claim her we were fortunate enough to have received a call as well. We won that custody battle only to have her stolen again about 2 months later and she was missing for 5 weeks. It turns out that the same people took her and we only found out because she escaped again. The Humane Society would not give us the address of the Dog-nappers, they only let us know that they lived close to us.
I have since purchased a GPS tracker for her collar and found out who took her because the next time she disappeared from our home in the evening I tracked her and found her at a home that obviously cared for her and called her Yoshi and had all the dog setup one could have.
Here is the video that I made and put on Craigslist and other sites to try and track down my dog when she was missing because just a picture would not do.

It was nuts! My kids Prayed to ger her back every night until it happened...... Twice. haha if you dont have a GPS tracker, just pray.
