being a witness is a technical job. it is well paid for a reason.
if there's witnesses who are "non technical "they should be replaced or they'll end up slowing down such projects.
witnesses who can't run an IPFS node should step down.
In a future post you should indicate a list of witnesses who you believe can help the project move forward and the community will vote for them.

Sort:  

there are plenty of technical people on steemit who also have a brain for political stuff.
in one of your posts you could explain in detail how to setup an IPFS node and we'll see who's capable. then the community may decide to support some of the technically capable also depending on their reputation and political stances.
Non-technical witnesses should hire techies if they want to keep their spot. with the proliferation of projects on the steem blockchain technical knowledge is vital.
