  1. Language teachers encourage students to read ALOUD for better comprehension and retention.
  2. If you can't bring me the exact thing, bring me at least something AKIN to it.
  3. Everything seems new to me since I have been AWAY for a long time.

As long as it's a tropical paradise, with all the accoutrements of paradise, I think I'll burn my passport and stay there.

MY VOCAB PRACTICE

  1. Aloud - The boy in the apartment across the street was just playing music aloud
  2. Akin - The report of the victim and witness are akin
  3. Away - He was away when the incident took place.
  4. Aground - He was asked aground the plane.

MY VOCAB PRACTICE:

  1. aloud
    You must say aloud your name when the world is silenced.
  2. akin
    Even though I have a twin sister, we are not akin.
  3. away
    He wanted to run away, to be only us and the world we created together.
  4. aground
    He dropped the headset aground when they stopped working.

"MY VOCAB PRACTICE."

  1. Aloud.
    The class read aloud the chapter regarding the Civil War.

  2. Akin.
    The flora in the tropics is far closer akin to the floras of some subtropical zones in the southeastern US than it is to the more northern states and Canada.

  3. Away:
    The horses were scared away by the loud noises of the construction equipment next to the farm.

  4. Aground:
    The boat was in heavy water when it ran aground on a strange, uncharted island.

MY VOCAB PRACTICE

  1. Speak aloud I can't hear you!
  2. They're quite akin, fallacy and falsehood.
  3. I can't go away to the one I love.
  4. A hermit was walking with a bowed head facing aground.

MY VOCAB PRACTICE

  1. The news caster read the news aloud for the entire day non-stop.
  2. The stress experience by medical doctors can be akin to that of any other profession.
  3. It's a shame that the poor old man was sent away during his grand daughter' s birthday celebration.
  4. The love child ran his late father's company aground just barely after 3 months of taking charge.

MY VOCAB PRACTICE:

  1. Aloud:
    Who is that that cries aloud in the back with the black pointed hat?

  2. Akin:
    Akin to the cherry red convertible, the rodchester was the next big selling car in Xoctious, some place in the galaxy we'll never get to.

  3. Away:
    Talking to Scott is not so good because he went away after he killed his brother.

  4. Aground:
    I will stamp this shovel aground to extract from the earth the dirt it holds.

We may not get to that galaxy, but let's hope they send us some decent, reliable, green cars.

MY VOCAB PRACTICE

  1. aloud: Spoken aloud, his idea all thought was completely ridiculous; in his head it sounded genius.
  2. akin: Those glowering eyes pierced him through the heart. Seeing the hate in his mother's eyes, it was akin to destroying him.
  3. away: In a place long long ago, far far away our story begins.
  4. aground: Above the crash site, a pair of parachutes slowly glided gently carrying two figures aground.

  1. The children at elementary school are taught to read books aloud in the classroom.

  2. He made a paper boat akin to the design he saw in the store market.

  3. She went away for the weekend.

  4. Some apple fruits fall aground on their backyard.

  1. The little boy was proud of the way he could read aloud in class.

  2. Withholding the patient's medicine was akin to sentencing him to death.

  3. The little girl ran away from home after being scolded about her bad report card.

  4. Many ships along the Cornwall coast find themselves shipwrecked aground the treacherous rocks that lie just beneath the surface.
