How to increase your child/wards academic performance.
There are factors responsible for children/Ward's academic performance .
These factors if carefully followed will ensure the wards excellent performance.
- Identify the learning method of the ward.
Learning method includes
Audio learners : includes wards who learn majorly by just hearing the teachers thoroughly teaching. These students can do well under teachers who explain lessons by oral methods.
Visual learners : the visual learners must always see, for these wards their eyes happens to be their strong access point for learning
Audio-visual learners : The audio visual learners combines the audio and visual learning process for learning, it is quite difficult to decipher whether it is visual or audio learning that fits this wards therefore the combination of both is encouraged.
Manual learners : This students learn by re writing notes over and over again , they're master note writers, they derive joy in learning and therefore will always practice before exams as if they're already in exams condition. The see note taking as a hobby and notes are always up to date.
Practical learners : These learners have to repeat the process over and over again . these wards do better in practical classes like baking, weaving, drawing and other practical subjects.
When the learning process is discovered what
wards and guardian should do is to feed the process that is most convenient for the ward and effectively use it.
However the guardian should learn ways to develop the other process of learning for the child and efficiently focus on the primary learning process.
Understand Teaching methods.
- The teaching methods is just like the learning methods
Teaching methods of the teacher largely determines the assimilation level of the child.
However guardians should ensure they understand the wards learning process and explain to the teachers.
Also try as guardians to follow-up teaching methods used by the school.
- Clear distractions
Distractions like excessive watching of cartoons and excessive watching of television, excessive playing should be avoided.
Likewise there should be time for everything because the playing is also part of the ward psychological development.
However quality education programs can be introduced, like encouraging wards to watch Nat-geo wild. It will boost the imagination and curiosity.
Effective follow-up systems:
This can also be referred to as the "check - check" it is consistently following academic performance of your child daily.

Check for assignment
Check for class teachers communication book and reply regularly.Reward system: I can never forget my mother for this she rewarded every time I did well in school, got me a gift.
It works till today, forget the myth that says rewarding the ward will spoil him .
Reward the teachers too, it is very important, it will motivate the teacher.
The academic performance of your child is not only limited to the factors explained.
Finally take time to patient with your wards and teachers as guardians, and do well to understand your wards Learning process.
