STRANGE!! See What Women From This Ethiopian Tribe Do Before They Marry
It's very funny how it may sound but the African culture really has different views towards marriage, I was forced to ask myself, Why the woman and not the Man? Why would a Lady be asked to receive such and not she'd tear or wail?
Women from the Hamar tribe in Ethiopia are whipped to show their love for men going through Rite of Passage ceremony. The beatings go on until their backs turn bloody.
They are not allowed to scream. They even beg the men to do it again and again.
This is believed to be a way of showing their support for "the initiate, and their scars give them a right to demand his help in time of need," said Africageographic.
