So today I decided to go for a hike again today there's a park about 20 minutes away.. a place called Piestewa Peak.. let's head out that way..
The key to a good hike is preparation.. notice the adequate hiking flip- flops... I've generated more grip and friction by adding socks.. also notice the lack of any type of water bottle... Coffee... tea... any type of liquid refreshment..
Ok we're all set.. let's down the trail..

The desert landscape is by far my favorite. I bet it was peaceful out there. My wife and I actually went to Phoenix back in October.
Very peaceful.. very quiet considering it was in Phoenix.. I went out towards Gila Bend this morning shooting pics of sunrise.. that was exceptionally peaceful

But seriously I'm fascinated by the desert. I was in Phoenix quite some time ago but my host forbade me from going for a hike... I'm kicking myself for not going... I just would have carried 2 gallons of h20 and a good walking staff.

My feet would be so stuck with cactus if that's all I was wearing! It's nice ot see the Ocotillo in bloom, with their red flowers. Enjoy the cool weather -- it will heat up before too long!
I wish it was hotter.. I gotta go back to Denver tomorrow where they got snow yesterday
