Since the end of World War I, II and the Cold War, inter-state conflicts have largely been resolved through diplomacy. However, behind the agreement reached, there are still sparks of trouble that eventually trigger conflict. Later, heating up North Korea vs the United States versus China and Russia, people worried World War III was soon broken in this modern era.

Quoted from the page ValueWalk.com on Tuesday (6/2/2018), has been widely circulated about how and when World War III will happen. Starting from the legendary predictions of Nostradamus, to the analysis of world political experts, World War III called risky occur in the 21st century.

One war finished, progressing to the next war. The Vietnam War was over, turned into the Cold War, then the Middle East conflict, until now the international open war on terrorism.

In addition, the threat of showing off the power of some countries is also feared to trigger the occurrence of World War III, such as the development of North Korea's nuclear program and enhancement of Russian military facilities in Eastern Europe.

Here are five World War III predictions based on observations of some experts on the current geopolitical map development.

1. Conflict with North Korea

North Korea could be the biggest international threat today. The country, now headed by Kim Jong-un, has been known for several missile tests over the past decade.

In addition, North Korea is also known for challenging the pressure of the United States (US) and its allies. In fact, Kim Jong-un boasted of having a nuclear system capable of reaching the West coast of Pam Sam State.

Moreover, coupled with US accusations about China's support behind North Korea, making tensions of the threat of conflict in East Asia increasing.

Later also, the US and its allies (South Korea and Japan) increased the portion of military training, which at the same time, was participated by China and North Korea respectively.

2. Taiwan Conflict

With only a distance of nearly 160 kilometers away, China and Taiwan have continued to experience cold conflicts since the last 70 years. On several occasions, China has openly submitted plans for reunification with Taiwan.

However, it is often perceived to be incriminating by Taiwan for several reasons, especially differences in political views and concerns about increasing pressure from Beijing if united.

In response to an increase in Chinese military program activity in the South China Sea, Taiwan - backed by the United States - increased its military budget by 2 percent to $ 10.7 billion by 2018.

If there is a war between the two, then the bad impact will be felt throughout the Asia Pacific region, not Southeast Asia.

3. Conflict of the Crimean Peninsula

During the 14 years since 1921, the Crimea came under the rule of the Soviet Union with a semi-autonomous status. But in 1945, upon the interference of Nikita Khrushchev, the Crimea finally became part of the Ukrainian state.

However, 60 percent of the 2 million population are ethnic Russians, resulting in frequent disputes between Russian and native Ukrainian entities.

The peninsula is a city that is currently used as a basis by the Russian government to conduct military attacks on Ukraine. This area is known as a pro-Russian territory despite being in the territory of Ukraine both geographically, historically and politically.

4. NATO Conflict

NATO consists of 29 sovereign member states in Europe and North America, which have a focus on security and defense cooperation.

Even so, Turkey, which is also part of NATO, is increasingly shunned by other members looking increasingly 'amorous' with Russia on various issues.

Turkey itself is an important country in the political map of the Balkans and the Middle East. Conflicting interests between the Turkish government and coalition forces in Syria, Iraq and Iran, poses a serious threat to stability in the region.

5. Middle East Conflict

The Middle East region has long been a region full of political disputes, ranging from Israeli and Palestinian feuds, to the presence of Saudi-led coalition forces in humanitarian conflict in Yemen.

Coupled with the presence of Russia which placed its strategic importance in the Middle East, then the turnaround of conflict was even more complicated.

Later also, there is hostility between countries of the Middle East on the issue of support behind the issue of terrorism, which in this case puts Qatara as angled pihsak.

This is further exacerbated by the less transient relationship between Russia and Turkey, as one country also has a strong influence in the related region.
