Watercolor/ink - Spaceling

Two days or two minutes. Consume or create. Gain or lose. Who can tell who wasted their time better? Judge and the jury of partial glimpses of exploding consciousness. Judge your own splinter under nail judging. Search for up and down in eternal space till there is no direction. Expanse of self confinement.

Song of the day: Assemblage 23 - Butterfly Effect
Thought of the day: Who trapped you?
Tiny happiness of the day: Snow

Sort:

I really like it, and i still very much enjoy the way you combine the harder dots with the softer characteristics of the water color :)
Although i might suggest adding more nuances to the hair? It might just be me, but i find that some of the darker shades (like the dark purple), has a bit more variance in the way they look, but it might just be the picture. Maybe i would just add a bit more shade on the two lowest strains of hair to the left of her face, as they can appear as bit solid compared to the other pieces of color... Not sure if that made any sense :)

Have you ever played around with spraypainting those space portraits? Like the video below

I've done it before, it's pretty easy to get into, and it adds in a really nice element of randomness, which i appreciate a lot. I find that the uncontrollable element can both be really rewarding, and a nuisance at times. But most of all, i find that it gives can give a really interesting touch of depth and color.

I thought you might wanna try the combination of spray paint and water color out, as it might provide an interesting background for your art. After all, art is about experimentation, and it's always nice to try out new stuff.

If you do try it, do remember to buy yourself a good respirator, and do it outside. I've done it in my apartment several times, and it takes days to air out the smell of aerosol (plus i might just kill a quarter of a billion brain cells in the process).

in any case, i really like the artwork, and you did a great job. Glad to hear you having a bit of snow, here it's just grey and cold.

Cheers

Thank you for your comment @emilclaudell! ^^

Yeah, I know what you mean. It is work in progress always and thank you for being constructive it helps me grow.

Never done spraypaint in my life. Though I did consider secretly spraypaint one wall in my village where some one had used Soviet symbol. :( I might practice my galaxy skills there. Haha.

I considered doing that as well when someone spray painted Swastikas in my hometown. And i'm pretty confident that the painters weren't Hindu :/

It's actually pretty fun to spray pain, i would definitely give it a go. it is also pretty cheap to get into. I used Montana or Molotov, they tend to work pretty well. I mostly just used it for stencil stuff though, since i was a huge Banksy fanboy :)

Looking forward to the next piece

Your color choices always inspire me! Nice face structure as well. Glad you keep posting artwork I actually learn some stuff from it.

Thank you @steemitadventure! :) It means a lot coming from amazing artist such as yourself. I was trying to go for retro feel with her face, if that makes any sense?

Weeks. Consume and create. Burn time. Swim in a small stream of attention and money.

I like the floating colors in the stars!

Thank you @eonwarped! ^^

When I was a kid I only created and then I was taught to consume and consumed a lot. Now I am back at creating and it is lovely to discover that I actually can more than I thought before, because all the consuming made me think that - oh I could never do that. You know?

Yay, finally something darker! I really like how clean your work is. Nothing in excess! Really nice!

Thank you @beercake! Yes, cleanness is important for me. Sometimes I spend hours to just make sure that there is not a single spot or line out of place.

The colours are great in this :)

Thank you @tarazkp! I usually stay way from pink tones, but this time it felt right.

Great one! The ink and watercolor combo is great. I'm afraid to try and give the song here a listen because I've been stuck on a loop on Superstition since your last post.

Thank you @rocking-dave! ^^ Yeah, I enjoy the combo too. Both mediums seem to compliment each other, so I will keep experimenting with that in future and maybe add more ink tools and pens.

Ahaha! I was looping too a lot, I had to force myself to listen to other stuff. Infections.

I still can't get it out of my head. I did listen to a lot more from them and then tried to wash that away with a not of other stuff, but it still hasn't worked. As long as I'm not listing to anything, it pops right back in. All my idle thoughts rhyme with sedition... :P

Beautiful! There is some dots again. :)

Thank you @lindiry!

It takes forever to do them, but I think they create little, fun effect. Plus I work on my patience. ^^

It's totally worth doing them! :)

Yours is the second notable watercolor I have come across in as many days. I love the medium; gouache too. Perhaps because of some watercolors my father left behind. Keep using that gift.

Thank you for stopping by @dissfordents! ^^ I only recently discovered my liking of this medium. I remember at school and art school hating it, because I just preferred thicker/stronger paint. I just never discovered how to build with it and make the capitalization with it, but now I do. Slowly.

I share the sentiment.
hugs

Hugs @josie2214! Maybe I just let it get me too much. Need to work on better shielding and mindset. It is all nonsense anyways.

Really liking your watercolors.... they have a very soft/ ethereal feel to them :)

Aww Thank you @gotmeens! I love your watercolors too. I feel I have still so much to learn and to play around with still, but the softness is what I try to aim for. ^^

This is so pretty!! I love the colours too, the colours of jewels and stones! :)

Thank you so much @lostinhappiness! I was giggling when I picked the color for helmet. Pink marble. Hehe :)

Nice.. Hope you like my art

Great post tnx for sharing check out my new post
