Hello to the lovely Hive Community!
Its the weekend, and today I thought of writing something about happiness. I hope you lovely people like it.
In a world that constantly glorifies climbing the corporate ladder and achieving great things, success is often presented as the ultimate reward. We are taught from childhood to chase achievement, accolades and then material wealth as a measure of our worth. While success is an external and superficial measure that is often defined by others, satisfaction is a deep internal feeling of joy that allows us to find true happiness not just in the destination, but in the journey as well. I believe the journey is more fun than the destination. We should cherish all the moments that we go by in the present.

I decided to get married, putting my career ambitions on the back burner to take care of my home and family, not because I was not allowed to work or anything like that, but because at this stage of my life, my inner satisfaction and joy in life are far more important to me than professional success. I do understand that this is an individual's preference, and everyone is right in their space.
By the world's definition, I may lack professional success. Still, when I see the smiles on the faces of my loved ones over a meal cooked by me, or read my novels in the comfort of my tidy living room over a cup of tea, I feel a deep sense of purpose.
Think for a moment about the people you know who seem genuinely at peace – do they always seem to be chasing success?
This deep soulful peace and happiness I get from nurturing my family and spending quality time with them is the ultimate satisfaction for me, a satisfaction that no amount of success in the corporate world could ever give.
Ultimately, I think success is a moving target that always keeps us wanting more. After achieving one goal, we immediately start chasing the next one, which keeps us in a constant state of restlessness and never-ending chaos. Its a kind of race that is never going to end unless we feel a sense of satisfaction. On the other hand, satisfaction is the calm feeling of being happy where you are. It is the realisation that the true measure of a good life lies not in a list of accomplishments, but in the quiet satisfaction of a job well done, moments of joy, a perfectly baked loaf of bread, cookies made for the kids, or the smiles of your loved ones.
