in #wednesdaywalk4 years ago

Another beautiful sunny day in Bangkok city today , i decided to take the boat up stream along the Chao Phraya River of Bangkok to catch a bit of the cool breeze after riding the boat for about 30 minutes i hopped of at a pier called Tha Wang Lang Pier from this pier it was a short walk to the Siriraj Bimuksthan Museum but if i had got of at the next pier i would have been at the front door of the museum.

The museum is situated in Siriraj Hospital grounds in Bangkok the actual museum shows the history of Thai medicines and medical studies showing many figures of humans and animal skeletons and much more about all the famous medical professors and what they achieved. I actually thought it might have been a train museum but turned out to be more of a scientific museum.

The hospital was actually built in 1888 by King Chulalongkorn but has had a few face lifts over the time. This hospital became the residence for the late King of Thailand, Bhumibol Adulyadej for treatments of gall bladder surgery and respiratory condition and it was in Siriraj Hospital that the late King died on 13 th of October 2016. All around the hospital you can see and read his full life story showing how much he loved his people of Thailand and what he done for them a very much loved and respected King loved by all people of Thailand.
