Hi fellow Walkers,

Today I'm back with something we've been sorely missing in our lives: a beach trip!

Wednesday Walk: Beach Break

One of the important things that we've been trying to do is take time out of what we are doing to enjoy some time outside. This was hampered a little bit with the insanely cold temperatures but we got a fantastic bit of nice weather the other day so we knew we were going on a beach trip!

It was nice to see the number of people that were there at the beach with us. A lot of people had the same idea in mind: beautiful day = beach time!

We caught the beach trip at the perfect time as well! The tide was just going out so we were able to get access to the part of the beach that was sheltered by the jetty from the insane wind we had! The water here is about 3 feet or so below the top of the sand which helps, but then there is a jetty built up another two or three feet above that. I enjoy capturing the photos of the water as it goes out and leaves a nice reflection on the sand like this.

Of course it wouldn't be a beach trip for me without building something in the sand! I enjoy building a small fort or wall to fend off the tide. This sand is a lot different, it's incredibly rocky but built a decent wall!

We were treated to a beautiful sunset as well! We haven't been able to enjoy a sunset like that in a while because where we live, there's too much stuff in the way to watch it set. Was great to be at the beach where we could watch it go.

It was very mentally refreshing for us to be there that's for sure! We are looking forward to the coming weeks and months where we spend more time at the beaches that's for sure!

Stunning waterscape, beautiful colours! ❤️ Lovely tones and contrast.

Thank you! Sorry trying to catch up on comments, I know you’ve left me a few!

It was great to be at the beach for sure, enjoyed the beautiful colors!

Such a beautiful beach and gorgeous photos

Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :), I truly enjoy exploring the world virtually each Wednesday seeing walks from all around the globe and feeling I am there and experiencing it all myself, such as I did in your post just now :)

Thanks man! This one was Salisbury, New Hampshire. Pretty awesome spot but you're close to some wonderful beaches yourself down there in NB. The cape is a short trek away!

Most welcome and yes no shortage of nice beaches around here :)

I'm happy you enjoy the trip to the beach... It looks great, seems to be a peaceful place. I don't like when there's a lot of people. 😅
Saludos! 🤗

Yeah the beaches we enjoy more are the ones that have less people that's for sure!

How are you doing June?! How's it feel to be old? :D kidding, what're you doing now that you're done with high school?

Hahaha, I'm not old yet. I still have a month of youth. Next month I'm turning 18 😆
I'm doing great! I'm starting a new routine where I jog every morning. It makes me feel active haha. I'm also still assisting to the choir, and I'm about to start a french course!! I'm so excited about that 😁
What about you? How are you doing? 🤗

I'm envious of this trip! Even though I work outside, I haven't had a lot of time to really enjoy and absorb it lately. Glad you guys had the opportunity and took it!

Yeah I hear you on that man. We've learned to slow down and enjoy the surroundings with our son. He's been a great way to try to appreciate the small things. So many things we take advantage of or don't appreciate as adults, it's a wonder to him so it's really allowed us to have a different perspective!

Ah yeah, it's the ONLY thing I miss about having children around all the time!

Haha yeah some things are nice to be past!

Yay! 🤗
