Wednesday walk And SBI giveaway Around Central Park
This post is also the results post for the collaboration of @elizacheng's Make me smile challenge and the Wednesday Walk Challenge
Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.
This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines
Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.
Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.
Try and get a few shots not just one
You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.
Try to limit yourself to a set distance or time from the starting location, say 5 Blocks, 5 Minutes walk or whatever and see what you can find in that short distance
Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss
Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all.
Following me and resteeming the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion, but you may have a better chance of receiving a Steem Basic Income Share if you do.
I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules
I will try and visit, resteem and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk, plus I will be sending @steembasicincomeshares to a selection of those who participate.
I have to make some changes to my Support of those who join Wednesday Walk
For a few reasons including how popular the Wednesday walk is getting, along with some new commitments I have on Steemit, I will from this week not be able to send tips to everyone who joins the walk, but will still be visiting all Wednesday Walk posts
This weeks Wednesday Walk around the Pond in Central Park
For this week's walk, I will share some shots of a walk around the Pond in Central Park, it is my favorite part of the park,
Since this is a Wednesday Walk post I thought first I would share one of the pathways in the park
There are walks ways all around the park and on many of them, you can almost forget that you are in the big city, of course not so much from this view on the path with all the buildings in the background very noticeable especially with the trees being fairly bare.

One thing I love in this area is the old bridge which is called Gapstow Bridge, which the pathway in the first shot crosses and is hidden behind the fall colors in the tree in this next shot, I do love that bridge and will share shots of it in a post on its own, but for this post I will focus on walking around the pond.

As I have said probably far too many times my favorite walks are always by water that's another reason why I love this part of Central Park walking around the pond and of course getting some reflection shots such as in the next photo, which again shows a glimpse of the Gapstow bridge

It is especially lovely at this time of year with the blossoms coming out in the park and adding such lovely colors on display.

That is super i love riding them cable cars :)
I used to love riding them I did the one in Singapore a couple of times before the accident but nowadays since the accident the one ride yesterday is enough for me lol 😂

I was so sorry that I ran out of time to do a Wednesday walk this week, it's always fun to walk around and share some of the things that I see. It's a purely eclectic kind of post for me, which really fits my personality and how I like to post.
I absolutely love when you're going through the park and oh, it's true, it's hard to remember that the Big Apple was surrounding you. I like The View from the path with all the Towering buildings overlooking. It must have been early morning because the light shines on their faces just so perfectly.
I love that area where the old bridges , it makes for such a graceful shot, especially with the newly popped out leaves and you peeking through with your camera. I love just the barely-there reflections of the water and it's in Central Park looking so fine right about now?
I love this time of year in the city or anywhere for that matter but the park was especially a favorite place of mine, watching mother nature come to life once again. A very lovely ending to a beautiful story! Thank you so much for taking this your Wednesday walk and I apologize again for not being able to join the challenge this week.

That is the absolute truth. It makes it all that much sweeter.
Well, I apologize because that is the way I feel, and I often wonder what huge efforts you go through to make a market every week, and I just couldn't get it together yesterday and I ended up posting three pictures and little text to put one up, around 11pm or 1130 or so!
The little one you put up was such a thoughtful post with a wonderful message which I loved I know that you have to apologize but I truly do understand
But in principle I am not doing a market Friday post this week
Just kidding of course I have photos ready for finishing off my one
I just need to make some time to edit photos or I will be stuck for all of next weeks posts

I am so behind, I do my posts on a daily basis. I am now editing the pictures for #MarketFriday. I have been behind for months. I know I will catch up soon. I will be taking a few days off and doing nothing but getting myself set up.
It happens. I blame it on all my relatives coming to my house all the time and taking up my sleep time. :) Or editing time.
But, you know I love it.

What a nice weather after the rains! Buildings create contrast by the color and light, look awesome.
Once again cannot pick up my favorite, but probably it is still the one with reflection of fallen tree branch.

The park is so beautiful. Love the different shades of color of the trees... The pond is beautiful. The photo with the red flowers is the best!

dang it, your photos are very amazing, it made me goosebumps by watching it and I want to experience walking there. You mentioned that you love that bridge and near in the river. How can we not if that place is so lovely. The sensation of the place, the colors of the leaves and flowers are blooming are so beautiful. I wonder where do you live, your place is nice.

Thanks such a kind comment I am humbled this park is in Manhattan NYC but I don’t live there I commute almost two hours out to a coastal city in Connecticut I love it there such a beautiful and quaint city with many beaches

Amazing place! It's like an oasis surrounded by skyscrapers. It seems that a little more and these giants will completely absorb it. You are very well able to pass this spring the transparency. When there is still very little density in the crowns of trees. Beautiful spring color shades in Central Park. Here you can walk for a long time :) , I am sure that there are many topics for the inspiration of the photographer.
Ohh yes the park has a little but if everything walking trails sport field a pond where you can hire and tow boats bridges statues etc etc etc

I like the gold in your photos. Do you add it or is it the sun reflections? The last photo is my favorite.
Thanks, The gold is because it was the golden hour just after sunrise, I did edit them, well I edit all my photos but I actually turned down the saturation of the golds/yellows as they were to bright actually
No wonder it is you favourite place in the park, it is absolutely stunning and the reflections on the water are simply awesome.

Yes I do agree with you and I have seen many parks around the world Central Park stands out as one of the best to me as well
Olmstead, the original landscaper for Central Park also designed the grounds at the Biltmore in NC and a few parks around here, including one in Milwaukee. He was a master.
I remember reading about other parks he created he had such an amazing vision
That is so true, it would be so difficult to image if your design would still work 100 years into the future when the trees were fully grown.
I wonder what he would think if he saw them now I think one would be shock to see people walking through the park and nit noticing the beauty as there looking at some strange thing in their hand

That park always reminds me of my walks in my favorite park it's always peaceful and refreshing :)
It’s funny for me the character of the park during the day changes i love early mornings walks there when it is quite, but whe I went through it ad I say on a weekend with visitors it was Packed and I felt it lost a lot of its charm at that time
Yeah i can relate to that sometimes you just want to enjoy the beauty of the nature without all the screaming kids and annoying people...lol :)

Ohh Central Park in general and this area in particular does get busy with people during the day these shots were taken around 7 am my favorite time to go there when very few people are there
