Today I would like to show you a few other things I have growing in the yard.
But you know, of course, I still want to show you the usual plants too!
Here is the hero of the bunch I am starting with, White Horse!
A few days ago I cropped the top to give her a double top.
Here is Red Horse. She was also cropped with White Horse on the same day.
Black Horse.
She was looking more curly on that last post, so this I guess an improvement.
They all were nibbled on early on. I have since started some neem spraying.
Here is Pale Horse.
Really bouncing back from the slow early days and producing better looking leaves.
So, I've never grown squash or zucchini, and I did have sections sorted out when I planted the seeds, but then that adorable monster of a puppy jumped into the garden to "help" and I don't know what went where.
So I'm not sure what I have here, but I can't wait to find out.
This is going to soon become a star plant for the front yard.
We did alot of landscaping today on the property and we want to try this one in the front in a spot where it will have room to really grow out.
Here is one of the new things I wanted to show you.
In today's landscaping adventure we discovered a living Aloe Vera plant being overcome and smothered by tall grass on a part of the property. Unfortunately it was after we went at it with a weed eater, the grass was that thick and tall that we didn't notice.
So I was able to rescue these pieces of shoots from the mother plant. I'm not sure if these will make it or not, but the roots looked decent when I potted them.
I wanted to try and make more of them, because Aloe would be a great addition to the garden! Anyone with some experience on these that know if I'm on the right track with these damaged plants or if there is something else I need to do, I would love to hear from you in the comments.
I think this one will join the Jade int he front yard very soon. I keep meaning to upgrade its pot...
I have a Loquat Tree, guys. It needs some pruning. We have been enjoying the fruit throughout this pandemic. :-)

The Pomegranate Tree is flowering now and beginning to fruit.
Oh yeah, I found tons of ants in the garden. Should I worry or is that normal? I went back out later today and they were gone. Hmm...
I'm not 100% sure I like how Basil looks right now. Hmm..
I close today's post with My homegrown Hatch Chilis. It gave us a pepper between posts but we wanted to taste that bad boy.
IT WAS DELICIOUS.

Careful with the neem though, my research has shown me that it becomes toxic when heated. Which sucks, because it's natural and organic, so otherwise good.
That was something I didn't know, Good to know, since it's hot here often. :-)

I can tell! Those cannabis plants look happy! Mine are still tiny
Your aloes will survive the damage to the tops. What is more problematic is replanting straight into wet soil. that could cause stem rot. Rather remove them from the soil and let the stems and roots dry out a little for about 2 weeks. This will not harm the aloe
I will do this today when I go back out. When I removed them from the mother, they had alot of grass tied up around them and spiders. I gave each part a good rinse with water and put them in mostly dry soil, they did get a light watering though, so yeah the soil got wet.

Ant on plant could mean you have aphids. But other than that I don't think you should worry. They often next under the pots.
Love that red aeonium! And poor aloe.
I know they like the lime tree I have and the garden is very near to that tree.
