You got to be crazy to commit to trying to build a business here without the audience.
That's why mainstream don't see a threat. No significant amount of people have really made the jump in all the years these platforms have existed. Plus video here is a joke. Weren't 3Speak meant to release a whitepaper on how they will save free speech already? Daily signups to their network in the single digits and embedded video doesn't work on most browsers.... how's that going to take traffic away from the main video platforms?
