I am still in awe of the fact that something exists where you can click your mouse and significantly change someone's life.
So far, thanks to this platform, community members came together, clicked their mouse and helped a really nice guy get a life altering surgery, helped a single mother not get evicted from her home, helped a person on dialysis get the healthy food they needed, helped another single mom whose kids have chicken pox, helped... who knows how many people?
Those were just some of the big ones.
There are many people on here who make enough rewards on a post to put food on their family's table for days. How amazing is that?

And the other young man is @darthnava i believe. Yes, i spoke of steemit in the last meetup in ways similar to how your speak of it. There is that steemit effect evident in any room filled with steemian because even obliviously by mining with minds daily, behavior in check before a community of reputable great minds, we have been growing!
