Currently the faucet used to create accounts is giving away 0.5 SP and granting a delegation of 14.5 SP for a total of 15 Steem Power.
With every new account having the power to upvote 10 times a day for 0.01 SBD or $0.06 USD the number of proxy voting accounts has been on the rise.
The faucet is meant to award one account per person.
This is my notice to the bad actors in our community:
Accounts using proxy voters created by @steem will be flagged to remove 100% of the rewards before payout.
If you feel the need to have more of your own accounts to upvote your post you can create the accounts by transferring or delegating your own STEEM to them or buy them.
I'll also be providing a list of accounts to the developers and asking for them to remove the delegations from those accounts. Right now that list only has 547 accounts but I have another 1000 that I have to manually verify that I probably will be adding.
Please note above examples are the easiest to find as to not disclose my methods of finding these accounts. I have ways to find them whether they are posting with one or 100 accounts and proxy voting.

When I have as much delegated Steem for the same purpose that Patrice got, I will do more work than Patrice does.
I have enough clue when I see accounts under her control participating in circle jerks with other supposedly vigilante accounts and having a 100% voting quota, which means unused.

nice work 🎨 be merciless with these bad actors and there should be many ways to increase risk of proxy voting with some new steem penalties imposed if caught - maybe like crowd funding a punisher-bot or something like that?🐀
What is the legal way to create a second account?
There are a few witnesses and other members of the community that sell accounts. They are pretty reasonable. If I have the spare SP to delegate I'll also create free accounts on occasion.

Another option is to create them yourself if you have STEEM you want to transfer to the new account or you have SP you can delegate. I've been using the wallet by @jesta and have made several accounts with Vessel.

Thank you for doing what you are doing! These tactics definitely need to be squashed in order to maintain a high-quality platform. Do you know if the developers are trying to implement some AI/ML to automate the flagging of accounts that are trying to game the platform?
I think they are more focused on SMTs and HF 21 right now. The good news is that HF 20 will hopefully stop this type of abuse. Each new account will have a minimal amount of bandwidth to perform transactions without delegating SP.

The current signup relies on verification by SMS text. There are services out there for social media sites that sell SMS Verification services and temporary telephone numbers for SMS verification.
The @dart group has created almost a 1000 accounts I can find this month.
These accounts are not going to users who want to be part of the community. Like the examples above they are just here to get some free money. Many of them do it with bots.

This is a great observatory here , I will advice that instead of creating multiple accounts and alloting votes to one account , most people have forgotten some importance of steemit , we are here to learn and in turn we earn which is not always an assurance , I believe if one create one single account and focus on it , voting commenting and giving impacts to people's post , that he or she will earn , instead of giving themselves work logging in onto different account just to gather more SBDs and Steemit.

Wow @patrice, it's amazing how much effort people seem willing to put into gaming the system rather than simply using the system. Well done for keeping an eye on these sorts of nefarious activities. I just hope there are enough people on the "good" side of this community to offset the actions of any "bad actors."

I would like to see a portion taken from the inflation, like witness rewards, that is spent on spam remediation and plagiarism.
All users should share this cost, just as they do witness pay, and sp interest.
Spam is not going away, and as long as we are playing crapitalism, you have something coming besides admiration and adoration.
Also removing it from folks having to use their vote power to finance it would benefit those that support you now.
They could vote on 'good' content, and 'gems', instead.

If you used the faucet to create the account all you need to do is delegate 15 SP to it. :) The faucet will automatically adjust to remove its delegation.

I have to look but since you're on my high frequency list it looks like you were using an automated script/bot to post YouTube videos. Bot posting clogs up the feeds and makes it difficult to find content. If you refrain from the automated posting I'll remove you.

I'd suggest limiting the number of low quality posts. The bandwidth allocated to the accounts was never intended to allow users to spam one link posts.

The bot didn't re-add you. That was my fault. The fail-over kicked in and I hadn't updated the lists on my backup. Removed the flags.

If someone has entered cheetah blacklist, cheetah dont ever remove the person from the list. I have written an apology letter more than two times now yet it more worst now, because you still down vote me on the apology letter. At this point it looks like you have 15 sock-puppet accounts. 11 of them using SP delegated by the free faucet @steem since you are only upvoting the posts by the one account.
I'm going to update my list and remove the accounts from it provided you delegate SP to those 11 accounts or stop using them to upvote until they no longer need SP from the steem faucet to vote.
And I apologize, I thought I commented on one of your posts about this and it was ignored. It was another account that I commented on. This is a common tactic to continue to create accounts to upvote using the free SP from the faucet. Some even have their own SP and still continue the practice powering down their puppet accounts at times.
ok, now we understand. Most of those accounts are relatives trying to support us in that project (@neronius) but we didn't know that it was against the rules.
We will immediately tell them to eliminate the upvote of those accounts. The only thing that interests us isto understand if an artificial intelligence is able to collect success with its blog within a social network/community like this.

These accounts were created 20 days ago. They immediately start upvoting you and January 15th they all update their profile picture within minutes of each other.
I've removed your name from the list. Don't create accounts with the free faucet to upvote yourself or get friends to create accounts for you. If someone did it thinking they were helping, tell them it's a bad idea. The faucet is there to help provide SP to new users. Existing users need to buy their own accounts if they want more upvotes and use their own STEEM to delegate or buy SP.
The remaining accounts listed above will stay on the list until their delegations are removed.
