Building a strong workplace relationship will enable smooth interaction among colleagues or team members which will result in a higher level of productivity and team bonding. Understanding and leveraging the strength of every member of a team could be a great asset in a work environment, the ability to delegate and pair the right set of people based on their specific skills, expertise and display of professional intelligence are rudiments of good workplace relationships and determinants of success and career accomplishments.

Organizations are goal-oriented and purpose-driven. So, recruitments are usually based on a combination of compatible professional, emotional, social capabilities and the needed skillsets to drive the established goal. This is a foundation for building a good, value-driven and mutually beneficial work environment that will productively and effectively drive the organizational goals and objectives. Having a smooth communication system is like getting halfway into the journey of an effective workplace relationship. The work environment shouldn’t be a rigid place, team members should be able to communicate with each other at freewill and be able to get all the necessary help, information and incentives needed to carry out their job roles. The company’s organogram has to be clear enough and should be designed in a way that there is no bridge in communication at any level and the team leads and management should also be available for their downlines such that they are free to air their opinions. communication will go a long way in promoting, creativity, innovation and productivity of an organization.

Have a good support system - Asides from being able to communicate, there should also be an active and swift support system for team members. The strength of communication could wear out if there are no apt responses. Employees or team members would rather keep sensitive information to themselves if they have been ignored over time and they start to feel like nothing will be done about their complaints. So the support system has to be strong such that emails are replied to on time, actions are taken as soon as a complaint is laid and necessary support provided as soon as possible.
