THE REASON - THAT’S WHAT MAKE ME UNIQUE- I AM THE REASON GUY.

Beliefs and Superstition. There are a lots of beliefs and superstitions around the world according to the various cultures, traditions.

Amazing superstitions around the world

Let’s take an example of an famous superstition- Friday the 13th. Friday the 13th, has been quite a source of superstition from 19th century. However, it’s origin is only in theories. Many people avoid doing any significant things like socials, interviews, meetings etc., because they belief that the day is cursed and it’s a source of ill fortune. And this is one of the reason which makes number 13 as the unlucky number.
13 reasons behind 13 being the unlucky number

I heard somewhere that some people believe that the mission to moon of Apollo 13 was failed because it was named Apollo 13, the unlucky number.

When we heard about some beliefs or superstitions, we think that it’s nonsense or funny or amazing. But I think differently. I try to find out the reason behind why people have such beliefs and superstition or why such things started at first, as much as I can. Well I am not any scientist or history professor, but I try my best. And if I found out the reason is good, I follow them. And if I found out the reason is bad, I won’t. Simple as that. Also I won’t follow any beliefs and superstition until I have reason. That’s why my friends calls me the reason guy, who needs reason for everything. Some of my friends also calls me, I shouldn’t have born in this country(Nepal), because I don’t fit here. Well I believe everything have reason, and what’s bad about believing that. And that’s what makes me unique.

I won’t say all beliefs and superstitions have reasons. And I am not saying that all people believe in these things. But one truth is that, I haven’t met any person who thinks like me. Not yet.

You must be little confused, because I said that if I have good reason I will follow such belief and superstition. Yeah, you heard right, I would follow superstition too. Let’s make it simple. If I found good reason, I will take those superstitions as beliefs too. Whatever the world thinks about that. And good reason means, not only for my personal good. It must be good for humanity, at least for a certain limit.

So, I am from Nepal, rich in culture and tradition. But everything comes with pros and cons. And I believe various beliefs and superstition is one of the cons we have. Because people follow them blind folded or with misconception.

Some superstitions followed in Nepal

Let’s starts with an example on belief. Even today when people got sick like fever or headache, they take some rice and pray to god and throw away so that gods or devil whoever caused that fever/headache, relieves the patient from the pain or sickness. When I was child, my mom used to do that. My father got headache, my mom take some rice, pray for some time and throw them away so that, my father would feel good again. And amazingly my father would recover without any medicine.

But later I knew that, it’s just an misconception. It is only the way to make our mind believe that we are cured. After that whenever I have simple fever or headache, I just fool myself by believing that I am ok. And it really works. Actually it’s an simplest version of law of attraction from the book The secret by Rhonda Byrne, which we can use in our day to day life. What you believe is what you become.

Let’s take another example on superstition. It is believed that if we whistle at night we will be haunted by ghosts. But the reason behind it is so simple that, you may laugh. The reason behind it is nobody want to be disturbed at night from annoying whistle. But people took them to next height.

Let’s take another example. For this I haven’t found any reason. Suppose you are walking along a road. And suddenly a squirrel or mouse or cat crossed the road ahead of you. Then it would be a bad omen if you cross the imaginary line made by them, until someone else knowingly or unknowingly cross the road before you.

Since I don’t have reason about that, I don’t believe that and I won’t care about some mysterious omen coming ahead. I just cross the road. It simple like that. Just like a boss.

OK guys this much for now. No intention to hurt anyone’s feeling or beliefs. It’s just what I feel about. And quite an experience of life. Thanks for stopping by. Keep upvoting, commenting, resteeming and following.
