The day was Monday, the time was 5:43 am. Pastor Joshua had barely woken just to notice someone trying to break down his gate.

“Who is that? Who is that person?”

“Daddy it’s me o!” came a reply from the other side.

“It’s you who?”

“It’s me Buchi. Bro Buchi – Usher.”

“Ah ah! Bro Buchi hope all is well? How about your wife?
Pastor Joshua inquired as he walked him into the sitting room.

Bro Buchi just wedded yesterday Sunday, so whatever would snatch a newlywed from the comfort of his spouse would be serious.
Pastor needed not to say any words as they both sat, only his inquisitive gaze on Buchi made him start spilling words like a suspect in the hands of a Nigerian police officer who needed to negotiate for his life.

Buchi started applauding the pastor for the lifesaving sermons on holiness and righteousness which had built him up spiritually and morally. He even mentioned Joseph in the bible as his mentor in godliness.

“But bro Buchi, I’m still not cleared on why you should leave your house this early to come thank me for pastoring you. You just got married yesterday, you should be with your wife sister Zoe.”
Pastor Joshua helplessly asked as his ears were dying for an answer.

“No sir! I wanted to appreciate you first because last night was horrible!”

“Horrible? I don’t understand”

“In fact I couldn’t believe it daddy. Can you imagine that your daughter; my wife; sister Zoe wanted to fornicate with me last night?! It was just the powerful grace of God that delivered me from that seduction of the enemy!”

“Bro Buchi you mean…”

“Daddy she started by rubbing my head, then my back, before you know it she kissed me and I mistakenly returned the kiss. To my greatest surprise she undressed herself and as she stretched her hands to grab my anointed weapon, daddy I escaped!”

“I escaped like my mentor brother Joseph in the bible! In fact I had to spend the night at my neighbor’s place before coming to meet you sir.”

I know at this point, just like pastor Joshua, you are helplessly confused or maybe you are reeling in laughter. But between the lines of this hilarious fiction an observing eye would detect the deploring effect of turning a blind eye on proper sex education.

Though fictive, but Zoe’s husband, Buchi has the wrong impression and orientation about sex.
No thanks to his spiritual and or intellectual institutions of learning and his society which is majorly laced with hypocrisy and blackmail of sex.

No matter how much we try to avoid the proper sex education, we can’t avoid consequences of its perversion and disorientation. We must understand that sex is a natural necessity that demands guard to keep to its sacredness, but our collective irresponsibility has given birth and rise to anomalies like pornography, rape, et al.

Pornography is wrong. It is perversion and deception. It creates the wrong impression and builds unnatural expectations. But despite this hazard, many still as an addiction resort to it as the only source of ‘sex education.’

Don’t blame them.
Don’t blame us.

How else should they, sorry, them and I learn how to have sex?

That’s the question.

In a world where pornography is rightly branded evil for what it is, how else should we learn how to have sex and the proper dynamics attached to it?

In a society where parents seem to be culturally restricted, teachers consider it unethical and religious leaders raise eye brows at the issues of sex or sexuality, how else do we learn how to have sex?
Or should we even never consider the possibility or having sex?

By that we all will turn to a bro Buchi.
